पांढरी जादू - 2 (White Magic - 2)

आपण जर सनातन संस्कृतीतले पौराणिक ग्रंथ वाचले तर हे सहज लक्षात येईल की यात निसर्गाच्या प्रत्येक पैलूचा विचार करून सृष्टीला कोणताही धक्का न लावता अनेक मार्ग दाखवले गेले आहेत. पुरातन काळी याला 'जादू' म्हणण्याची गरजही भासली नसेल. कारण त्या काळी ह्या गोष्टी सहज शक्य होत्या. नंतरच्या काळात मात्र हे ज्ञान लुप्त झाल्यामुळे पौराणिक सत्यकथा 'दंतकथा' म्हणून केवळ वाचल्या गेल्या. चमत्कार, जादू असे शब्द वापरून त्या गोष्टी केवळ देवांना किंवा अमानवी शक्तींनाच साध्य होत्या अशा भ्रामक कल्पनांमुळे त्यामागील विज्ञान दुर्लक्षित झालं. अगदी अलीकडच्या काळात विमानांचा शोध लागेपर्यंत रामायणातील विमानं ही दंतकथाच होती. आजही रामायण काळात हेच किंवा ह्यापेक्षाही प्रगत तंत्रज्ञान वापरून विमानं बनवली गेली असतील यावर आपला सहज विश्वास बसत नाही. संजयानं अंध धृतराष्ट्राला महाभारत युद्धाचं वर्णन राज महालातूनच सांगितलं यामागे आजच्या दूरदर्शन सारखंच विज्ञान असणार. गांधारीला झालेली १०० संतती म्हणजे आजच्या काळातील टेस्ट ट्यूब बेबी यामागचंच शास्त्र असणार. शिव शंकरांनी गणेशाला जोडलेलं हत्तीचं मुख म्हणजेच आधुनिक शल्य चिकित्सा (ट्रान्सप्लांट सर्जरी) असणार. हा सारासार विचार आपण करत नाही. अशा अनेक 'जादूंची' उत्तरं आपल्याकडे आहेत पण विज्ञानवादी दृष्टिकोन म्हणजे निसर्गाच्या शक्तींना नाकारणं ह्या पुनर्जागरणाच्या काळापासून तयार झालेल्या मानसिकतेमुळे ह्या नैसर्गिक शास्त्रांकडे चुकीच्या दृष्टीनं पाहिलं जातंय. ह्याला अनुसरूनच माझं मत असं आहे की पांढरी जादू म्हणजे 'जादू' नसून पूर्वीच्या काळातील ज्योतिष, खगोल,आयुर्वेद, तंत्र शास्त्र इत्यादी नैसर्गिक शास्त्रं आहेत. आजच्या काळात काही सिद्धी लुप्त झाल्यामुळे ह्या विद्या अशक्य कोटीतल्या वाटल्या तरी पुरातन काळात त्या नित्य आयुष्यातल्याच गोष्टी होत्या. आज शस्त्रक्रिया, विमान प्रवास, मोबाईल वरचे व्हिडिओ कॉल असं प्रगत तंत्रज्ञान आहे तसंच त्या काळीही असणार. त्यामुळे आता त्याला जादू म्हणून दंतकथा बनवण्यापेक्षा त्यामागचं विज्ञान समजून आज नवीन तंत्रज्ञानाचा फायदा घेताना आपण निसर्गाचं जे नुकसान करत आहोत ते कसं थांबवता येईल असा विचार केला तर आपलाच फायदा होणार आहे.

असो, आता ही पांढरी जादू कशी केली जाते आणि आजच्या काळात याचं रूप कसं आहे हे समजून घेऊ.

सूचना: हा केवळ माहितीपर लेख आहे. जुजबी माहितीवर आणि मार्गदर्शनाशिवाय कोणीही याचा प्रयोग करू नये.            

पांढऱ्या जादू साठी सगळ्यात महत्त्वाची गोष्ट म्हणजे आपल्या शरीरातील शक्तींची आपल्याला जाणीव हवी. आपला स्वतःवरचा विश्वास, दैवतावरचा विश्वास, इच्छाशक्ती आणि सकारात्मक हेतू या मुख्य आधारस्तंभांवर ह्या जादूचं यश अवलंबून आहे. स्वतःमधील ऊर्जा वाढवून हेतू साध्य करून घेणं ही या तंत्राची प्रमुख पायरी आहे. पृथ्वीच्या ऊर्जेबरोबर स्वतःला अशा पद्धतीनं संरेखित केलं जातं की ती ऊर्जा आपल्या शरीरात मिसळून जाईल. मग स्वतःची ऊर्जा कोठेही कमी न करता त्या उर्जेला आपल्या हेतूच्या दिशेनं प्रक्षेपित केली जाते. जमिनीवर बसून, किंवा हातात एखादा दगड घेऊन त्यावर आपली ऊर्जा केंद्रित करून हे साध्य करता येतं. आपल्याकडील त्राटक तंत्राचंच तत्त्व इथं वापरलं गेलं आहे. याच पद्धतीत जमिनीवर बसल्यावर स्वतःला एक वृक्ष समजून त्याची मुळं कशी जमिनीत पसरली आहेत, फांद्या कशा बाहेर वाढल्या आहेत इत्यादी काल्पनिक चित्राच्या माध्यमातून ऊर्जेचा प्रवाह वाढवला जातो. यात आपण कल्पनेत कसं रूप आणतो आहोत हे फार महत्वाचं आहे. जसं आपल्याकडे दैवतांची विविध रूपं आहेत. आपण कोणत्या कार्यासाठी प्रार्थना करत आहोत तसे भाव असणारं दैवताचं रूप मनात आणलं तर कार्यसिद्धी लवकर होते.

जमिनीखालील पाणी, खनिजं, खजिने शोधून काढणे हेही पांढऱ्या जादूतील एक तंत्र आहे. विशिष्ट झाडाची पुढे दोन भाग असलेली एक फांदी घेऊन त्यावरून अशा गोष्टी शोधण्याचं काम हे चेटूक करत असत. भारतातही विहीर खाणण्याच्या आधी अशा सिद्ध लोकांना बोलावून पाणी कुठे असेल याचा अंदाज घेतला जातो. काही ठिकाणी यांना जलचेटूक म्हणतात. जमिनीखाली दडलेली जी गोष्ट शोधायची असेल त्या गोष्टीच्या आसपास आल्यावर त्या फांदीतून तरंग बाहेर पडतात. यावरून त्या जागेखाली दडलेली गोष्ट शोधता येते. अर्थात यासाठी सिद्धी मिळवण्याची गरज असते. भारतात मंत्रजप करून ही सिद्धी प्राप्त करण्याची कला अस्तित्वात होती आणि आजही काही प्रमाणात ती टिकून आहे. काही देशात वर सांगितल्या प्रमाणे काल्पनाचित्र तयार करून आपलं लक्ष केंद्रित करून ऊर्जा प्रवाहित केली जात असे. आणि मग ती ऊर्जा वापरून त्या फांदीमधून तरंग / संकेत मिळत असत.

एखाद्या लोलकाचा वापर करून रोगी व्यक्तीची मदत करण्याचं कार्यही ह्या जादूनं केलं जात असे. शरीरात कोणतं दुखणं आहे, कोणत्या उपचारांची गरज आहे अशा प्रकारच्या याद्या लिहिल्या जात असत आणि त्या नावांवरून लोलक फिरवला जात असे. लोलकाच्या हालचालीवरून उत्तर काय असेल ते सांगितलं जात असे. भारतात व अन्य काही देशात याच तंत्राची आवृत्ती म्हणजे दगड, तांदूळ, चिट्ठ्या, कवड्या अशा गोष्टी वापरूनही उत्तरं शोधली जात असत. आजही या तंत्रांचा वापर करून लोकांना मदत करणारे काही तांत्रिक आहेत असं ऐकिवात आहे.

वास्तुशास्त्रानुसार घरात रंगांचा वापर केला जातो हे आपल्या सगळ्यांनाच माहित आहे. रंगांची ऊर्जा वापरणं ही सुद्धा पांढरी जादू आहे. एखादा रंग मनाला इतका प्रसन्न करतो की त्यामुळे मन शांत होतं. तर एखाद्या रंगामुळे भूक वाढते. असे अनेक रंगांचे गुण आपल्याला विविध पद्धतीनं वापरता येतात. प्रत्येक रंगातून येणारी ऊर्जा त्या रंगाच्या तरंगलांबीवर अवलंबून असते. यात भौतिकशास्त्राचा आधार घेतला जातो. आपल्या डोळ्यांना तेव्हढेच रंग दिसतात ज्या रंगांचे तरंग मानवी डोळ्यांच्या कक्षेत सामावतील. त्यावरील किंवा खालील तरंग असलेले रंग आपल्याला कळत नाहीत. पण त्यांचे परिणाम आपल्यावर होतच असतात. म्हणूनच कोणत्याही साधनेच्या / कार्याच्या वेळी सांगितलेली विशिष्ट साधनं दृश्य परिणामांखेरीज अदृश्य परिणामही करत असतात. उदा: सोनेरी रंग हा मानसिक शक्ती, अंतर्ज्ञान शक्ती वाढवतो, उच्च योनीतील आत्म्यांशी संपर्क करण्यासाठी उपयुक्त असतो. म्हणून काही साधनांत मंत्र जप करताना सोनेरी आसन / वस्त्रं सांगितली जातात. त्याच वेळी ही वस्त्रं / आसनं अदृश्य रंगही उत्सर्जित करत असतात. म्हणून ती कोणत्या धाग्यापासून बनलेली असावीत यालाही काही संकेत आहेत. सकाळच्या वेळी साधना केल्यास सूर्याची सोनेरी किरणं सोनेरी रंगाच्या गुणांबरोबर इतर रंग व त्यांचे फायदेही आपल्याला देत असतात. दिवसाच्या वेळेगणिक ग्रह ताऱ्यांच्या रंगांच्या तीव्रतेत बदल होत असतो. तसंच तिथीनुसार सूर्य, चंद्र इतर ग्रहांची स्थिती बदलत असते. विशिष्ट तिथीला त्या त्या ग्रहाच्या किरणांची स्थिती कशी असेल हे खगोल शास्त्राद्वारे समजू शकतं. म्हणून कोणतीही साधना करताना तिथी, वेळ, दिशा, आसन, वस्त्र, मुद्रा, आहार असे अनेक नियम सांगितले जातात. ते योग्य रीतीनं पाळल्याशिवाय साधनेचं फळ मिळत नाही. असो, अशा प्रकारे रंगांचा वापर करून रोग बरे करणं, अडचणी दूर करणं, मानसिक स्वास्थ्य वाढवणं, आर्थिक यश मिळवणं इ. कामांत पांढरी जादू प्रयोगात आणली जाते. पूर्वीच्या काळापासून आजपर्यंत रंगांचा वापर काळया आणि पांढऱ्या जादूत केला जातो आहे. पौराणिक काळाबद्दल बोलायचं तर विशिष्ट धातूंपासून बनलेले दागिने, विशिष्ट रंगांचे ध्वज / टिळे / वस्तू / प्राणी जवळ बाळगणं अशी उदाहरणं आहेत. श्रीकृष्ण मोराचं पीस जवळ बाळगत तेही रंगांच्या किमयेमुळे, अर्थात त्याला इतरही शास्त्रीय कारणं आहेत. आजच्या काळात पाहायचं तर अनेक क्षेत्रांत (वैद्यकीय, वकिली इ.) विशिष्ट रंगांचे कपडे घालतात. इस्पितळात भडक रंग न वापरता पांढऱ्या रंगाचा वापर केला जातो कारण तो शांतता देतो, आत्म्याचं शुद्धीकरण करतो. केवळ डोळ्यांना बरं वाटावं एवढाच उद्देश इथं नसतो. रंगांच्या भौतिक शास्त्रानुसार असलेल्या गुणांचा अभ्यास करूनच वास्तूशास्त्रात कोणत्या खोलीला कोणता रंग द्यावा हे सांगितलं आहे. ज्योतिष शास्त्रात प्रत्येकाच्या कुंडलीनुसार प्रत्येक व्यक्तीला कोणत्या रंगामुळे फायदा होईल ते सांगितलं जातं. यात अवडंबर नसून नैसर्गिक शक्तीचा वापर केला जातो.

स्फटिकांचा पांढऱ्या जादूत अनेक पद्धतीनं वापर केला जातो. रंगांप्रमाणेच निसर्गातील प्रत्येक खानिजात विशिष्ट गुण आहेत. ते गुण हेरूनच कोणत्या कार्यासाठी कोणत्या खनिजाचा वापर करायचा ते ठरतं. खनिजांमधील एक स्फटिक म्हणजे वैज्ञानिक भाषेत सांगायचं तर सिलिकॉनला खूप महत्त्व आहे. काही ग्रंथांच्या अनुसार स्फटिकात ध्वनी लहरी साठवून ठेवण्याची शक्ती असते. त्यामुळे पूर्वीच्या काळी काही महत्वाच्या गोष्टी लहरींमार्फत स्फटिकात साठवल्या जात असत. आणि गरज असताना त्यातून उत्सर्जित करून ती माहिती मिळवली जात असे. आजही गॅझेटच्या युगात मायक्रो चिप म्हणजे सूक्ष्म स्वरूपातील साठवण सिलिकॉन मार्फतच होते. सिलिकॉन वर ध्वनी आणि प्रकाश लहरींचे होणारे परिणाम आज अभ्यासले जात आहेत. पण फार पूर्वीच्या काळापासून स्फटिक एक माध्यम म्हणून वापरलं गेलं आहे. भारतातही स्फटिकाची माळ विशिष्ट साधनांसाठी वापरण्यात येते. कारण ती जपमाळ धरून आपण केलेल्या जपातील 'बीज' हे ध्वनी लहरींच्या रूपात त्या स्फटिकात साठवलं जातं. त्याचीच ऊर्जा आपल्याला अडथळे दूर करण्यासाठी मदत करते. म्हणून जपमाळ कोणत्या खनिज (स्फटिक) / मण्यांची असावी, कशी धरावी, कोणा दुसऱ्याची जपमाळ वापरू नये असे संकेत कटाक्षानं पाळावेत. स्फटिकांच्या गुणांचा वापर पांढऱ्या जादूत अडचणी दूर करण्यासाठी, आर्थिक परिस्थिती सुधारण्यासाठी, प्रेम मिळवण्यासाठी, मनःशांती साठी, घराचं संरक्षण करण्यासाठी, आरोग्याचा विचार करता विशेष करून अनिद्रा / भीतीदायक स्वप्नं यावरील उपचारासाठी अशा अनेक कार्यांसाठी केला जात असे आणि आजही केला जातो. ध्वनी / प्रकाश लहरी साठवण्याच्या गुणधर्मामुळेच स्फटिक / रत्न गरजेनुसार उपयुक्त ठरणाऱ्या बीज मंत्रांनी भारली जातात आणि त्यांची मूळची ऊर्जाही सक्रिय होते. यालाच सिद्ध करणं असं म्हटलं जातं. पण सिद्धीकरणाबद्दलची अपुरी माहिती आणि त्याचं झालेलं बाजारीकरण यामुळे अंधश्रद्धेला खतपाणी घालून स्फटिक / रत्न केवळ पैसे उकळण्याचा एक सोपा मार्ग झाला आहे. सिद्धीकरण हा खर्चिक भाग असला तरी योग्य पद्धतीनं सिद्ध झालेल्या स्फटिकांचा वापर केला तर कार्यसिद्धी होते. अशी ही स्फटिकं / रत्नं कधी हातात धरून मंत्रजप करणं वा इच्छा बोलून दाखवणं आणि प्रार्थना करणं तर कधी शरीरावर धारण करणं तर कधी नुसती जवळ बाळगणं अशा विविध पद्धतींनी वापरून पांढरी जादू केली जाते. अर्थात यातील प्रत्येक पद्धतीला नियम आहेत ज्याची सखोल माहिती असल्याशिवाय ह्या विद्येचा वापर करू नये आणि केल्यास यश मिळणार नाही.

दीपावली उत्सवात आपण अभ्यंग स्नान करतो, विवाह / मुंज अशा मोठ्या प्रसंगी सुगंधित द्रव्य असलेल्या पाण्यानं स्नान करतो, स्त्रीला बाळंतीण झाल्यावर विशिष्ट औषधी वनस्पती असलेल्या पाण्यानं स्नान करवलं जातं इतकंच काय साधी सर्दी झाली तर आपण औषधी पाण्यानं स्नान / वाफ घेणं असे उपचार करतो. पाण्याबरोबर वनस्पती / स्फटिक / सुगंधी तेल वापरून करण्यात येणारं स्नान ही सुद्धा पांढरी जादू आहे. यात पाणी आणि विशिष्ट द्रव्यांची होणारी रासायनिक प्रक्रिया याचा वापर करून अनेक पद्धतीनं अडचणी सोडवण्यासाठी स्नान केलं जात असे. वैभव प्राप्ती, रोग बरे करणं (विशेषतः कातडीचे रोग), शारीरिक ताकद वाढवणं, निद्रानाश बरा करणं, प्रेम मिळवण्यासाठी त्या व्यक्तीला अनुकूल करणं अशा अनेक कार्यांसाठी अशा जादुई स्नानाचा उपयोग केला जात असे. आजच्या काळात आपण औषधांमधे ऍलोपॅथीवर जास्त भर देत आहोत. पण वनस्पती / स्फटिक आणि पाणी यांच्या एकत्रीकरणानंतर बनणाऱ्या औषधी द्रव्यांबद्दल मात्र फारशी उत्सुकता दाखवली जात नाही. अगदी कडुलिंबाच्या पाल्याचा रोज स्नानाच्या पाण्यात वापर केला तर अनेक फायदे होतात आणि कांती सतेज राहते. पण ऍलोपॅथीच्या लवकर होणाऱ्या फायद्यामुळे हळूहळू पण नैसर्गिक होणारा कोणताही उपचार केवळ वेळ जास्त लागतो म्हणून टाळला जातो. यात कोणतीही जादू नसून नैसर्गिक तत्त्वांचा नियमित वापर हीच गुरुकिल्ली आहे. मोठ्या प्रमाणावर पसरलेल्या रोगात ऍलोपॅथीला पर्याय नसतो कारण ते झटकन काम करतं. पण नियमितपणे औषधी वनस्पती आणि योग्य स्फटिकं यांचा वापर केला तर रोगाची तीव्रता वाढणार नाही आणि कमी तीव्रता असलेले रोग नक्कीच बरे होतील. या द्रव्यांच्या पाण्याशी होणाऱ्या प्रक्रियेमुळे तयार होणारी रसायनं आणि वायू आपल्यावर इतक्या वेगवेगळ्या तऱ्हेने मानसिक परिणाम करतात की प्रत्येक व्यक्तीच्या मानसिक गरजेनुसार हे औषधी मिश्रण कसं करायचं हे ठरवलं जात असे. उदा: दालचिनी, लवंग, तुळस यांचा काढा गाळून घेऊन स्नानाच्या पाण्यात टाकावा. नंतर त्यात गुलाबी आणि पांढऱ्या रंगाच्या विशिष्ट फुलांच्या पाकळ्या टाकून स्नान केल्यानं प्रेम व्यक्त करण्यासाठी आकर्षण शक्ती वाढून एखाद्या व्यक्तीला चांगल्या उद्देशानं मोहवता येतं. या मिश्रणांच्या पाण्याशी होणाऱ्या संयोगामुळे होणाऱ्या रासायनिक प्रक्रियेत जे वायू बाहेर पडतात ते आणि औषधी पाणी आपल्या संपूर्ण शरीरावर पसरतात व आपली आभा बदलून कार्य सिद्धीला मदत करतात. आजच्या युगात स्पा, ऍरोमा थेरपी असे मोठमोठे शब्द वापरून दिलं जाणारं स्नान, मालिश ही पांढरी जादूच आहे. केवळ नाव आणि थोडंसं रूप बदलून ही पूर्वीचीच जादू आता महागड्या पद्धतीनं बाजारीकरण करून समोर आणली जात आहे.

औषधी वनस्पतीसुद्धा अनेक मार्गांनी पांढऱ्या जादूत वापरल्या जात असत. कोणत्याही वनस्पतीचं बीज जमिनीत पेरलं जात असल्यानं जन्मापासूनच सर्व वनस्पतींमधे नैसर्गिक घटक, ऊर्जा, खनिजं सगळं काही उपलब्ध असतं. या वनस्पतींचा उपयोग ताज्या असताना, वाळवून, भस्म करून अशा विविध प्रकारे केला जात असे. विशेषतः कोळशावर जाळलेल्या काही वनस्पती अत्यंत औषधी द्रव्य धुरामार्फत बाहेर सोडतात जे कार्यसिद्धीसाठी वापरलं जात असे. तर विशिष्ट प्रक्रिया केलेल्या वनस्पती तावीज म्हणूनही अंगावर धारण केल्या जात असत कारण त्यातून सतत बाहेर पडणारे वायू आपल्या मनावर, शरिराभोवतीच्या आभेवर हवा तो परिणाम करतात. आर्थिक लाभासाठी, रोग बरे करण्यासाठी, पुरुष / स्त्री यांना संतती होताना अडचण येत असेल तर, आकर्षण शक्ती वाढवण्यासाठी, संरक्षणासाठी, आत्म्याच्या परयोनीतील प्रवासासाठी, काळी जादू केली असेल तर त्यापासून सुटका करण्यासाठी, प्रेम / नात्यात दुरावा आला असेल तर संबंध सुधारण्यासाठी अशा अनेक बाबतीत वनस्पतींचा उपयोग पूर्वीपासून केलेला आढळतो. उदा: काही वनस्पतींचं मिश्रण पायातील जोड्यावर शिंपडल्यामुळे अथक चालता येत असे आणि हिंमत वाढत असे, म्हणून याचा उपयोग युद्धाच्या वेळीही केला जात असे. अशा औषधी वनस्पती कुठे उगवल्या आहेत, त्यांचे रंग व स्थिती यावरून त्या कशा वापरायच्या हे ठरत असे. आज बऱ्याचशा वनस्पती त्यांच्या मूळ प्रदेशात उगवण्यापेक्षा आर्थिक फायद्यासाठी कोणत्याही प्रदेशात, कोणत्याही ऋतूमधे आणि कलम करून उगवल्या जातात. त्यामुळे कार्य सिद्धी होत नाही असं माझं निरीक्षण आहे. आजकाल मोठमोठ्या उपहारगृहांत (हॉटेल / रेस्टॉरंट) 'स्मोक' दिलेले अनेक महागडे पदार्थ मिळतात. हा स्मोक म्हणजे कोळशावर तूप आणि काही वनस्पती जाळून गोळा केलेला धूर. फार पूर्वीपासून असलेली ही पद्धत आता नवीन रूपात आली असली तरी आरोग्याच्या वैयक्तिक तक्रारींसाठी त्याचा काहीच उपयोग नाही. वैयक्तिक अडचणी सोडवण्यासाठी योग्य मार्गदर्शन घेणंच इष्ट कारण कोणत्या अडचणीसाठी कोणती वनस्पती वापरायची हे ज्ञानी व्यक्तीच सांगू शकेल. शिवाय या वनस्पती, द्रव्य यामुळे एखाद्या व्यक्तीला ऍलर्जी होऊन त्रास होऊ शकतो.          

दिवे आणि मेणबत्त्या यांचंही पांढऱ्या जादूत खूप महत्वाचं स्थान आहे. प्राचीन काळी वेगवेगळ्या प्रकारच्या मातीच्या दिव्यांमध्ये विशिष्ट प्रकारच्या वाती, तेल / द्रव्य वापरून दिवे लावले जात असत. नंतर त्यांची जागा मेणबत्तीनं घेतली तरीही मूळ दिव्यापासून मिळणारी ऊर्जा जास्त प्रभावी असते असं माझं मत आहे. या दिव्यांचे / मेणबत्त्यांचे रंग, वाती, त्यात वापरण्यात आलेली द्रव्य, पेटवल्यावर येणाऱ्या ज्योतीचा रंग, त्यातून निघणारे वायू अशा अनेक वैज्ञानिक निकषांचा अभ्यास करून कोणत्या कार्यासाठी कोणत्या दिव्याचा वापर करावा हे ठरत असे. आर्थिक-व्यावसायिक अडचणी, योग्य जोडीदाराची निवड करणं, प्रेम मिळवण्यासाठी आकर्षण शक्ती वाढवणं, रोग बरे करणं, ध्यान धारणा, दुरून रोगावर उपचार करण्यासाठी ऊर्जा पाठवणं, व्यसनमुक्ती, शत्रू उच्चाटन, घराचं संरक्षण, मानसिक उपचार अशा अनेक सत्कार्यांसाठी या विद्येचा वापर होत असे. आजही आपण साध्या भाषेत सांगताना तिन्ही सांजेच्या वेळी तुपाचा दिवा देवासमोर लावावा असं म्हणतो. पण ही अंधश्रद्धा नसून यामागे शास्त्रीय कारणं आहेत. तिन्ही सांजेच्या वेळी डास / किडे सक्रिय असतात. तुपाचा वास, धूप, औषधी उदबत्त्यांचा वास यामुळे ते घरात येत नाहीत आणि घर शुद्ध राहतं. औषधी तेलांच्या धुरामुळे रोग बरे होण्यास मदत होते कारण त्या तेलांची तत्त्वं वायूरूपानं रोग्याच्या शरीरात जातात. औषधाची गोळी घेतल्यासारखाच ह्याचा परिणाम असतो. विशिष्ट तेलाच्या धुरामुळे भूक लागते, पचन चांगलं होतं. म्हणून जेवण्याच्या खोलीत कोणते दिवे / कंदिलात कोणतं तेल असावं याचे काही नियम होते. पण वीज आल्यामुळे आता असे दिवे / कंदील वापरले जात नाहीत. कॅण्डल लाईट डिनर नावाचा महागडा प्रकार लोकप्रिय व्हायला लागला खरा पण त्यामागचं शास्त्र मात्र लोक विसरले. मेणबत्त्या केवळ शोभा म्हणून वापरण्यापेक्षा त्यात असलेली द्रव्य किती उपयोगी आहेत हे पाहिलं तर त्याचा आरोग्यासाठी निश्चितच उपयोग होईल. झोपतानाही असे विशिष्ट प्रकारचे दिवे लावले तर भीती दूर होऊन वाईट स्वप्नं पडत नाहीत. या शास्त्राची पूर्ण माहिती असलेल्या व्यक्तीकडून मार्गदर्शन घेतलं तर असे अनेक मार्ग मिळतील आणि दिखाव्यासाठी केलेल्या महागड्या निरुपयोगी गोष्टींपासून आपली सुटका होईल.

एखाद्या व्यक्तीला मदत करण्यासाठी त्या व्यक्तीच्या आकाराची बाहुली / कठपुतळी बनवून त्यामार्फत सकारात्मक ऊर्जा वाहून त्या व्यक्तीच्या अडचणी दूर करणं ही पांढऱ्या जादूतली प्रसिद्ध पद्धत आहे. मात्र काळ्या जादूत होणारा याचा वापर जास्त प्रसिद्धीला आल्यानं ही पद्धत खूप बदनाम झाली आहे. पण अत्यंत प्रभावी असलेल्या ह्या विद्येत माती, धातू, मेण, काच अशा वेगवेगळ्या साहित्यापासून बाहुल्या बनवल्या जातात. साहित्य कोणतं आहे त्यानुसार नैसर्गिक ऊर्जेचा वापर करून ती बाहुली सिद्ध केली जाते. मग जशी अडचण असेल त्यानुसार उपाय केले जातात. रोग बरे करणं, मानसिक शक्ती मिळवणं, आर्थिक अडचणी दूर करणं अशा अनेक अडचणींत या विद्येचा वापर केला जात असे. माणसाच्या आकाराच्या बाहुलीच्या जागी एखाद्या वेगळ्या आकाराची मूर्ती सुद्धा बनवली जात असे. त्यामागील शास्त्र हे आकार, वापरलेल्या साहित्याचे गुणधर्म अशा गोष्टींवर अवलंबून असतं. याचा पूर्ण अभ्यास आणि सराव असल्याशिवाय याचे प्रयोग करू नयेत. आताच्या काळातही या शास्त्राचं साहित्य बदललं तरी मूळ तत्व तेच आहे. पण याची पूर्ण माहिती किती जणांना आहे याबद्दल मी साशंक आहे.

भूमितीचा अभ्यास करून आणि त्याचा नैसर्गिक ऊर्जेशी असलेला संबंध ओळखून पांढऱ्या जादूत यंत्र / आकृत्या यांचाही वापर केला गेला. वर्तुळ या आकाराला पाश्चिमात्य जादूमधे खूप महत्त्व आहे. पूर्वीपासून जादूचा प्रयोग करणाऱ्यानं आपल्याभोवती एक वर्तुळ काढावं असा संकेत आहे जो भारतीय खंडातही पाळला जात असे. भोवती वर्तुळ काढणं म्हणजे एक जागा राखून ठेवल्याचं प्रतीक असतं. म्हणजे ऊर्जेची देवाणघेवाण त्या जागेपुरती मर्यादित असते. काळ्या जादूमधे पंचकोनी चांदणीच्या आकाराचं महत्त्व जास्त असतं. असो या वर्तुळात वा भोवती प्रयोगाच्या आवश्यकतेनुसार दिवे, वनस्पती, वस्तू इत्यादी गोष्टी नियमानुसार ठेऊन मंत्रोच्चार केला जात असे. या शिवाय इष्ट देवतेचं चिन्ह / मूर्ती / चित्र हेही ठेवलं जात असे. मग रोग बरे करणं, यश मिळवणं, आर्थिक अडचणी दूर करणं, मानसिक त्रास दूर करणं, संरक्षण, मृतात्म्यांशी संवाद अशा अनेक कामांसाठी या विद्येचा वापर होत असे. आजही याच पद्धतीनं याचा वापर होतो. पण तद्दन भोंदू बाबांमुळे या शास्त्रामागचं विज्ञान मागे पडून दिखावा आणि काळ्या जादूची भीती घालून केलेली दुष्कर्म असं याचं भीतीदायक रूप झालं आहे. पण भूमितीचा विचार केला तर अनेक मंदिरं, पिरॅमिड आणि तत्सम बांधकामं याच अभ्यासावर आधारित आहेत. शिवपिंडी हे भूमितीचं उत्तम उदाहरण आहे. त्यात किंवा श्रीयंत्रात जी ऊर्जा साठवण्याची शक्ती आहे तीच पाश्चिमात्य जगाकडून छोटे पिरॅमिड वगैरे स्वरूपात आपल्यासमोर दाखवली जात आहे. असेच भूमिती मधले कोणते आकार कोणासाठी योग्य आहेत याचा विचार करून प्रत्येकाला वापरायला सांगितले जातात. कधी त्या आकाराभोवती मंत्रोच्चार तर कधी त्याचा तावीज बनवणं असे अनेक मार्ग आहेत. पण त्या आकृत्या किंवा यंत्र कधी, कसे आणि कोणत्या वस्तूनं बनवायचे याचे नियम ठाऊक असले तरच हे प्रयोग यशस्वी होतात. असो पांढरी जादू करण्याचे अनेक छोटे मोठे प्रयोग आहेत. ज्या सगळ्यांची माहिती एका लेखात लिहिता येणार नाही. पण वाचकांना याची कल्पना यावी यासाठी मुख्य पद्धतींची माहिती मी देण्याचा प्रयत्न केला आहे.

पांढरी जादू करताना काही नियम पाळणं खूप आवश्यक आहे. ही विद्या मानसिक शक्तीवर अवलंबून असल्यानं कोणाचंही नुकसान करू नये, ज्या व्यक्तीला मदत करायची असेल त्याच्या संमतीशिवाय कोणताही प्रयोग करू नये असे नैतिक नियम आहेत. शिवाय ज्याला मदत करायची आहे त्याच्या घरची परिस्थिती पाहून गोपनीयता भंग होणार नाही याचाही विचार आवश्यक असतो. प्रयोग करणाऱ्यानं यामुळे होणारे फायदे आणि होऊ शकणारे तोटे / धोके याची संपूर्ण कल्पना समोरच्याला दिली पाहिजे. ज्याला मदत करायची आहे त्याची इच्छा नसेल तर मानसिक शक्ती खर्च करून फायदा होणार नाही किंबहुना ऊर्जेची देवाणघेवाण होणार नाही. त्यामुळे अडचणीतून बाहेर पाडण्यासाठी त्या व्यक्तीची मनापासून इच्छा आणि विश्वास असेल तरच प्रयोग करावा. खालच्या पातळीची कामं किंवा विद्येची शक्ती किती आहे हे तपासण्यासाठी किंवा गंमत म्हणून ही विद्या वापरू नये. कोणतंही कार्य सिद्ध झाल्यावर इष्टदेवतेचे आभार मानावेत.

ह्या शास्त्रात पारंगत असलेले चेटूक विविध साधनं वापरतात. उदा: कांडी, प्याला, विशिष्ट प्रकारची सुरी, झाडाचा पाला, जपमाळ इत्यादी. या सगळ्या साधनांचा वापर करण्यामागे दिखावा नसून नैसर्गिक तत्त्वं आहेत हे फार कमी लोकांना ठाऊक असतं. ही सगळी साधनं कोणत्या वस्तूपासून बनलेली असावीत याचे काही नियम आहेत. त्यानुसार ती साधनं कशाचं प्रतिनिधित्व करतात हे ठरतं. म्हणजे कांडी ही प्रामुख्यानं लाकडापासून बनते किंवा सोनं, चांदी अशा धातूंपासूनही बनते. ही कांडी म्हणजे अग्नि तत्वाचं प्रतीक आहे. पेला हे जलतत्वाचं प्रतीक आहे. त्या त्या तत्वांच्या गुणांनुसार मंत्र शक्तीनं ते साधन सिद्ध करून वापरलं जातं. कारण निसर्गापासून आलेल्या कोणत्याही गोष्टीत काहीतरी क्षमता असतेच. ध्वनी / वायू लहरी, गुप्त विधींमधून साठवलेल्या लहरी असं या शक्तीचं स्वरूप असतं. मग प्रत्यक्षात वापर करताना काही विधी करून कमी वेळेत त्यांच्यातली ऊर्जा वापरायला सक्रिय केली जाते. अशा अनेक गोष्टी आपण चित्रपटात पाहतो किंवा पुस्तकांत वाचतो. पण त्यांना सध्याच्या काळात शक्य नसल्यामुळे दंतकथा म्हणून दुर्लक्षित केलं जातं. याबद्दलची पूर्ण माहिती नसताना काही भोंदू लोक सामान्य लोकांना जेव्हढी ऐकीव माहिती असते त्यावर दिखावा करून पैसे मिळवतात. अशा गैरप्रकारांमुळेही ही विद्या बदनाम झाली आहे.

या विद्येला विज्ञान हे शास्त्र पुढे आल्यानंतर कमी लेखलं गेलं, इतकं की ह्या विद्येला 'शास्त्र' म्हणूनही मान मिळेनासा झाला. कारण विज्ञानाची आजची परिभाषा जशी आहे तसं या शास्त्राचं रूप नाही. मानसिक शक्तींवर आधारलेलं हे शास्त्र आहे. आजही आशियामधे मानसिक शक्तीच्या आधारे अचाट प्रयोग करणारे साधू ज्यांना मॉंक म्हटलं जातं ते अस्तित्वात आहेत. चित्रपट, पुस्तकं या माध्यमातून आपण त्यांची विद्या पाहतो. शाओलिन सारख्या पवित्र मंदिरात असं गुप्त ज्ञान दिलं जातं. आपल्याकडेही पूर्वी गुरुकुल पद्धत होती तसंच हे शिक्षण आहे. मात्र नवीन काळातील पाश्चिमात्य विचारसरणीच्या पगड्यामुळे आणि आपल्या देशावर झालेल्या अनेक आक्रमणांमुळे ही पद्धत नामशेष झाली. त्याचबरोबर माणसाच्या मेंदूची प्रचंड क्षमता कशी वापरायची याचं ज्ञानही लुप्त होण्याच्या मार्गावर आहे.

ज्योतिष शास्त्रीय उपाय सुद्धा पांढरी जादूच आहे कारण पांढरी जादू करण्यामागचा हेतू एकच की दुष्कर्म करायचं नाही. काही वेळा या प्रयोगांना यश हवं तसं मिळत नाही. मलाही अनेक लोक हा प्रश्न विचारतात की आम्ही सगळे उपाय सांगितल्यानुसार केले मग यश का आलं नाही? माझा मुख्य सल्ला नेहमी हाच असतो की विधिलिखित बदलणारी कोणतीही 'जादू' नाही. तुम्ही काही मिळवण्याचा प्रयत्न करत आहात तर आधी तुमची कर्मं काय आहेत तेही पहा. कारण त्याची फळं तुम्हाला भोगायचीच आहेत. आपण केलेले प्रयत्न, इच्छाशक्ती, बौद्धिक उंची, परिस्थिती याचा विचार करूनच इच्छा करावी. जे अडथळे दूर करण्याजोगे आहेत त्यावरच उपाय असतो. अटळ संकटं, महामृत्यू अशा गोष्टींवर उपाय नसतो. ज्योतिषांनी अशा गोष्टींची कल्पना प्रश्नकर्त्याला दिली नाही तर आलेल्या अपयशामुळे तो खचून जाऊ शकेल. आणि अशा अनैतिक वागण्यानं ज्योतिषशास्त्र किंवा तत्सम विद्या यांचा अपमान होतो, अंधश्रद्धेला खतपाणी मिळतं आणि सामान्य माणसाचा या शास्त्रावरचा विश्वास कमी होतो.      

शेवटी इतकंच म्हणेन की पांढरी जादू अस्तित्वात आहे आणि सत्कर्मासाठी आपण कळत नकळत ती वापरतही असतो. आपल्या मेंदूची प्रचंड शक्ती आपण समजून घेतली तर आपण स्वतःसाठीच नाही तर इतरांसाठीही काही चांगलं काम करू शकतो. विज्ञानाची कास धरायची म्हणजे मनाची कवाडं बंद करायची असं नाही. पांढऱ्या जादूतील काही पद्धती आता शक्य नसतीलही पण ज्या शक्य आहेत त्या मोकळ्या मनानं स्वीकारून ह्या शास्त्राचा आदर करावा. यात कुठेही अंधश्रद्धेला थारा देऊ नये. पण श्रद्धेनं जरूर सत्कर्म करावं.

It can be easily deciphered through the sacred texts of Sanatan dharma that they have elucidated different ways or rituals considering every aspect of nature without disturbing the harmony. In that era probably the word 'magic' was not even a requisite. Because all these things were easily possible at that time. With time this knowledge evanesced and mythological true stories were read as fables. The delusional concepts like such miraculous, magical acts can be performed only by the Gods or supernatural powers actually added to conniving at the scientific aspect behind these rituals. Recently before the invention of airplanes, the vimanas (airplanes) in the Ramayana were just a hearsay. Even today we are reluctant to believe that in Ramayana era the airplanes were possibly manufactured with a similar or even a superior technique than today's. Sanjay narrated the Mahabharata war to the blind king Dhrutarashtra from the palace itself. Well, there might be a technique like today's television at that time. Queen Gandhari had 100 children, probably conceived by the then test tube baby method. The face of an elephant attached to Lord Ganesha by Lord Shiva can be an example of plastic surgery. There are numerous examples in mythology which we fail to rationally link with modern scientific methods. We have the answers to all such 'magics' but the propaganda of scientific views imposing the abhorring of natural powers which started during the renaissance has created this psyche which wrongly portrays the natural sciences. In accordance with this I opine that White Magic is not a 'magic' per se but the natural sciences like Astrology, Astronomy, Ayurveda, Tantra shastra etc from ancient period. As some of these techniques dissipated with time, they look barely plausible today. Nonetheless, they were commonly used in day to day life in the past. Today we have developed methods like surgery, airplane travel, video calls etc. which was possibly present in ancient time in different forms. Thus rather than calling it 'magic' and making it fable, we should learn about the science behind it and think if we can use it in today's fast life so that we can minimize the harm we are making to the nature. 

 Well, now let's see how this White Magic is performed and what is its new form in today's world.

The most important thing for White Magic is we should acknowledge our own physical powers. Selfreliance, confidence in the cherished deity, will power and good intentions are the key pillars for the success of this magic. The key element of this magic is raising our bodily energy to achieve the goal. One's body is aligned with the Earth's energy in such a way that the Earth's energy flows through the body. Then it is directed towards the work in one's mind without depleting the bodily energy. This can be achieved by sitting on the Earth surface or even holding a rock in the hand and focusing on the energy flow. A principle similar to the Indian Trataka tantra is implemented here. In this method, we have to visualize ourself as a tree and by imagining how the roots of the tree grow and spread under the earth, branches of the tree grow we have to raise the bodily energy. The imagination of the manifestation is of utmost importance. Just like various manifestations of Indian Gods are there. The devotee will succeed faster when the manifestation of the deity worshipped is in accordance with the type of the desire. 

Dowsing which includes finding sources of water, buried treasures or minerals is also one of the divinatory methods in White Magic. These sorcerers used dowsing tools like a dowsing rod which was a forked twig from a specific tree to find the object of search. In India still people ask these dowsers to find the source of water before digging a well. At some places they are known as water witches. While searching the objects over the terrain certain vibrations in the dowsing tool indicate the presence of that object. This can help in locating the object of interest. Of course this needs acquisition or siddhi of supernatural powers. In India getting acquisitions by mantra chanting was a common practice and still exists to some extent. In some countries dowsing was practiced by visualization skills and focusing on the energy flow. This energy flow helped to get indications / vibrations from the dowsing tools. 

The dowsing technique was also used to help the patients by using a pendulum for diagnosis. The pendulum was used over the charts of the diseases, treatments needed or other important lists. The specific movement of the pendulum helped to answer the questions. In some parts of the world including India a variation of this technique is used to get the specific answer. This includes use of different materials like rocks, rice, paper sheets or cowries. Supposedly still some sorcerers or tantriks exist, who help the needy people using these methods.   

Well, we are all aware that according to Vastu shastra suitable colours are suggested for the houses. Using colour spectrums as a source of energy is also White Magic. Certain colours are so pleasant that they can release our mental stress. Some colours can improve our appetite. On this wise different colour spectrums can be utilized for different purposes. Energy emitted from each colour depends on the wavelength of that colour. This is practically based on principles of physics. Only those colours are visible to us whose frequencies can be reflected in the eyes. The higher or lower frequency colours are not visible to human eyes. Irrespective of this, all colours' wavelengths do affect us. Which is why specific materials prescribed for spiritual practices / works not only have candid as well as viewless effects. For example: Golden color strengthens mind power and intuition power, it is also used while communicating with angels from higher realm. Thus in many spiritual practices golden coloured clothes / mats (asanas) are prescribed during mantra chanting. Also these clothes / mats emit invisible colours too. That's why the type of thread used to make these clothes / mats have precise assignations. When spiritual rituals are performed in the morning time, the golden coloured sunrays not only provide benefits of their visible colour but also of their invisible colours. Everyday the intensity of the rays emitted by the planets and stars keeps on changing with time. Along with this the Sun, Moon and other celestial bodies change their positions with respect to the Earth too. Astronomy can tell us about the positions of the celestial bodies and their rays on particular dates. Considering all this, for any spiritual practice specific rules like date, time, direction, clothes, mat, diet, body position etc. are prescribed. The success of any spiritual practice hugely depends on the rules and regulations. Well, the magic of colours is widely used in White Magic in healing, mind empowerment, financial problems and many other benevolent purposes. Right from the ancient period, the magic of colours is used in both Black and White Magic. Speaking about the ancient times there are many examples of practicing this magic like using ornaments made up of specific metals, keeping specific coloured flags / things / mark or symbol on forehead / animals and so on. Lord Shri Krishna always kept a peacock feather with him due to the magic of the colour frequencies, though it had other scientific reasons too. Talking about today's world, many faculties (doctors, advocates etc.) wear specific coloured clothes. Usually hospital rooms are coloured with white paint rather than gaudy ones as white colour gives mental peace, purifies the soul. White colour is easy on the eyes is not the only objective here. Vastu shastra also prescribes different colours for rooms of the house on the basis of physical properties of the colours. It's not about ostentation but about the use of natural powers.      

Crystals are also used in various ways in White Magic. Just like colours, all the minerals of the Earth have specific properties. The purpose of using any mineral depends on the efficacy of it. Scientifically, silicon is one of the most important crystals. According to some references crystals have the ability to store sound waves. Thus in ancient times some important information was stored in the crystals though sound waves. And when required, this stored information was obtained by emission of the waves. Today in the world of gadgets and gizmos, the heart of any gadget i.e. a microchip is made up of silicon. Many scientists are studying the effects of sound & light waves on silicon. In India a rosary of crystals is being used in many spiritual practices. Because when any 'beej' or seed mantra is chanted by holding the rosary, the power of the seed is stored in the crystals in the form of sound waves. This energized rosary helps us to remove the obstacles by energy transfer. Thus, we should follow the rules and regulations about rosaries like the type of the beads of rosary, how to hold it, never use others' rosaries etc. Crystals are still used in White Magic just as in earlier times for benevolent purposes like to resolve problems, love spells, mental peace, protection of the house, in healing especially treatment of insomnia or bad dreams and many others. These crystals and gemstones store the energies of the suitable seed mantras through sound / light waves as well as their own energy is reactivated. This is known as energizing. Sadly due to insufficient information about the procedure of energizing and bluffy marketization has escalated the ostentatious ways for monetary gains. Though energizing can be a bit expensive, an authentically energized crystal / gemstone gives desired results. In all, White Magic is performed by wearing these crystals / gemstones on body, holding them in hand and praying for desire fulfilment or chanting mantras, just keeping them with us or various other methods. Of course any such method should not be performed without proper knowledge of this science otherwise it is very less likely to attain success.                  

In everyday life we use holy water in different forms like holy bath in festivals like Diwali, on special occasions like wedding / threading ceremony, medicinal water with herbs and oils for new mothers not only this but for treatment of common cold medicinal herbs are mixed in hot water for bath / steam. Mixing herbs, crystals or essential oils in water to enhance the medicinal properties and using this holy water for bath is also White Magic. Here the water element chemically reacts with the substances used for mixing and such magical water was used for holy baths to resolve issues. This bath magic was used for various purposes like healing (especially skin problems), gaining prosperity, curing insomnia, love spells, enhancing physical strength etc. Today we are emphasizing more on allopathy medicines. But there is clearly no dice for our traditional holy water baths using herbs, crystals or oils. Simply use of Neem leaves in everyday baths can help in a lot of ways. However due to the fast effects of allopathy, the natural remedies are kept at arm's length by reason of their slow effects. Basically regular use of natural energy is the key here rather than any magic. In the acute stage of any disease there is no option for allopathy. Nonetheless, regular use of these herbs, oils, and appropriate crystals can definitely restrict the prognosis of the disease and less severe diseases can be cured. The chemicals and fumes produced after their reaction with water can influence the human brain psychologically in various ways, so which combination of these should be used for healing was decided according to the psychological need of the person. For example, if the extract of cinnamon, cloves and basil along with petals of specific pink and white flowers is mixed with the bath water, it can help to enhance the attraction power which can be used for love spells for an ethical purpose. This mixture reacts with the water element to release fumes which along with the medicinal water spreads all over our body and changes our aura. This ultimately helps us to get the desired result. Today the baths, steams or massages given using articulate terms like spa, aroma therapy are nothing else than White Magic. Today the same old therapy has been strategically put forward in a market friendly form by changing its name and refashioning its form.            

Medicinal herbs were frequently used as White Magic tools in different forms. Any plant's life begins with soil when a seed is sowed. Thus needless to say all plants have natural components, energy, minerals etc. These useful herbs were used at various stages in fresh, dried or ash form. Especially when herbs are burnt on coals they release medicinal fumes, which were used in some works. Some processed plants were used as magical talismans or amulets to wear on the body. Because these specially processed herbs release fumes which affect us psychologically and also bring positivity in our body aura. Herbs and plants magic is being used for years as White Magic for various purposes like monetary gains, healing, attraction spells, fertility issues (for both sexes), protection, prosperity, astral travelling, get rid of negative forces and black magic, enhance relation or love etc. E.g. a specific combination of herbs if sprinkled in the shoes it could help to walk tirelessly and all the fears would stop, thus it was used during wars. Of course the use of such was largely dependent on important criterias like the location of the herd, its colour, its stage etc. Today many useful herbs are grown in locations other than their original habitat in any season and by artificial methods for monetary gains. I have personally observed that such herbs are unable to give results. Today many restaurants provide 'smoked' dishes at higher rates. This smoke is nothing else but the fumes of some herbs burnt on coal along with ghee. Though this is the same earlier technique refashioned for marketing strategies it can't be used for healing purposes. For personal remedies we should get proper guidance as only a master will be able to recommend a proper herb for a specific problem. Also we should not forget that blindly using any herb as magic can cause allergic reactions or other complications if the herb is not suitable.             

Candles and lamps play a plum role in White Magic. In ancient times various clay lamps were used making use of different oils and wicks. Later the candles replaced these clay lamps but I personally feel that the candles can't radiate the energy equivalent to that of clay lamps. There were various criteria to decide which lamp / candle is to be used for a particular work like the colours of these lamps / candles, types of wicks, oils or substances used, colour of the flames and fumes released after lighting the candle / lamp. This method of White Magic was very popular for different purposes like financial / business growth, finding the perfect life partner, love and attraction spells, healing, meditation, house protection, psychological issues, sending healing energies from a distance, cure addictions, drive away enemies etc. Even today we normally say that at dusk a ghee lamp should be lit during worship as a spiritual or ritualistic practice. This is not any kind of ostentation but it has scientific reasons behind it. To elaborate, dusk is a perfect time for the mosquitoes / bugs to become active. These bugs are repelled due to the fumes of ghee and herbal incense sticks which helps to keep the house clean. The essential oil fumes also help to reduce health problems as they are inhaled on a daily basis. This just works like a medicine pill. Some oil fumes increase our appetite and help in digestion. Thus which type of lamps should be used in the dining room and which oil / ghee should be used for these lamps was scientifically prescribed. Nowadays such lamps are scarcely used due to the electric lamps. Though an overpriced vogue of candle light dinner has become very popular, we have forgotten the real science behind it. Rather than using the candles just for decorative purposes, if we can make it with useful materials it can really boost our health. Specific lamps lit while sleeping can help to stop bad dreams by removing fears. Proper guidance about these techniques can be acquired from the masters of this science, which can save us from the expensive futile remedies.     

Making a doll better known as 'poppet' in sorcery, of a human shape and transferring energy through it to help a person is a well known method of White Magic. Though this elegant method became notorious due to its frequent use in Black Magic. In this effective method the poppets are made from different materials like soil, metals, glass or wax. Depending on the material used to cast the poppet, it is energized by a specific procedure with natural energy. Then it becomes ready to be used as a remedy. Poppets are being used for many purposes like healing, enhancing psychological power, solving money problems etc. Sometimes idols of different shapes were used rather than human shaped poppets. The principle behind this technique lies in the shape (geometry) of the poppets and the materials used to cast them. Such powerful techniques should never be practiced without full knowledge and proper guidance. Today though some new materials are used or some steps are altered, the fundamental principle of this method remains the same. However, I am really doubtful about the authenticity of the so-called masters of this science today.      

  

Coupling the study of geometrical figures and their link with natural energy different figures / symbols were used in White Magic. Westernized methods used circles as powerful symbols for the magic. Circle is been used from the ancient era by the sorcerers as a protective symbol by drawing around them during magic rituals and it is still being followed in the Indian continent. Creating a circle around the body is a way of securing a place for the rituals. This means the flow of energy is restricted inside the circle. Black Magic emphasizes more in the pentagon figures though. Anyway, according to the procedure of the ritual lamps, herbs and other materials needed were placed inside or around the circle and chanting was started. Along with this a figure / idol / photo of the cherished deity was also placed. Then this magic was used for various purposes like healing, protection, monetary gains, enhancing psychological powers, conversing with souls of the dead etc. Today also almost the same procedures are used for these magics. Sadly due to fraudulent masters now this natural science is underestimated and only viewed as an ostentatious or scary malevolent Black Magic technique. Nevertheless, many temples, pyramids and similar structures are built on these geometrical principles. The Shiva linga worshipped in Hinduism is the best example of the geometrical principle combined with flow of energy. Astonishing powers of Shiva linga or Shri Yantra are now presented in the form of small pyramids or similar structures by the westernized people. Well, by studying the geometrical shapes and their natural energy connection, different people are recommended with different symbols as per their needs. Some symbols are energized by mantra chanting or some are used as amulets. Not to forget, these symbols (Yantras) are to be prepared at specific times, places and materials. If all the recommended steps are followed then only the rituals will be successful. There are numerous such techniques in White Magic, which can't be explained in a single article. So I have tried to explain some basic methods just to make the readers aware of the power of the magic.

While performing White Magic some rules are to be strictly followed. This kind of magic is totally based on mental power, thus there are some ethical rules like it should not be used for any malevolent purpose and should not be performed without the consent of the person we want to help. Also considering the person's family condition, secrecy should be of utmost importance. The sorcerer should always intimate the person about the pros and cons of the magic. If the person seeking the help is not willing for the remedy then frittering the mental energy will be useless. Thus the willingness and faith of the seeker is very important for a successful spell. This magic should never be used for low level purposes, cross examining the potency of the methods or just for fun. And last but not the least, after every successful attempt, the cherished deity should be thanked for the success.        

The masters of this magic use various tools like wand, chalice, athame, rosary, tree leaves etc. Very few of us know that these tools are used for their natural attributes and not to flaunt. Of course the materials used to prepare these tools are specific which decide what each tool will represent. Like the wands are mostly made from wood, gold or silver. The wands represent the fire element. Chalices symbolise the water element. According to the tools' attributes they are energized by mantra / chanting before using. Every natural substance has some or the other attribute or power. This takes the form of energy and is stored in various forms like sound / light waves, frequencies created by secret rituals etc. Then during application some secret rituals are performed to activate the energies. We watch or read such things in movies or books. But today such rituals are not possible to perform due to various reasons and thus are labeled as hearsay. Some fraudulent sorcerers perform superficial rituals deliberately including the methods known to people through scuttlebutts. Such practices have defaced this beautiful science.     

With the rise of new sciences, especially medical science these ancient sciences started losing their status, so much so that they were not even considered as sciences. Mainly this happened because these ancient sciences do not fit in the new scientific criteria. The science behind the magics is prominently based on psychological powers. Even today the masters who can perform incredible acts purely by controlling mind powers, known as Monks do exist in Asian countries. We know about some of their powers through media or books. Sacred temples like Shaolin are built for the study of such secret sciences. It is very similar to that of the 'Gurukul' system in India. But this system of education was completely destroyed due to the influence of westernized culture and many invasions and attacks on Indian civilization. As a result in the near future we may completely lose the knowledge of using the potential of the human brain.     

   

Well, astrological remedies are also a part of White Magic as the main purpose behind it is benevolence. Sometimes these remedies don't give desired results. Many querents ask me about the failures in spite of performing the remedies. I always suggest to the querents that there is no 'magic' which can fully change destiny. If you are trying to achieve something, then check your deeds first. Because you have to face the consequences of your deeds. And importantly the desires should be decided depending on efforts put, will power, intellect and overall condition. The remedies can remove only those obstacles which are possible to remove. But unavoidable problems, certain situations like great death can't be rectified. If the astrologers keep mum about these facts, then there is a possibility that the querent may get discouraged due to the failures after remedies. Such unethical behaviour can spoil the image of astrology or other similar sciences. This may also boost superstitions and on the flip side people may lose trust in the authentic sciences. 

Finally but importantly, I would like to mention that White Magic does exist and we use it knowingly or unknowingly in our everyday life for righteous purposes. If we can realize the capacity of the human brain, we can use this science for us as well as help others. Supporting and practicing new science doesn't mean shutting all the doors on the facts. Though some rituals in White Magic are not possible to perform today, those which are possible should be accepted and with a broad mind this science should be respected. In any case I will never support ostentatious practices. But I will definitely recommend performing benevolent acts with pure faith.
