मेदनीय ज्योतिष (Mundane Astrology)

मेदनीय ज्योतिष शास्त्र म्हणजे देशाची / प्रदेशाची कुंडली मांडून त्याबद्दल भाकीत करणं असा काही लोकांचा (गैर) समज आहे. आजकाल अनेक ठिकाणी देश, प्रदेश अगदी शहरांच्या राशी सांगून त्या ठिकाणी अडचणी का आहेत याबद्दल माहिती दिली जाते. निवडणूका जवळ आल्या की अशा चर्चांना ऊत येतो. पण खरंच अशी देशाची कुंडली मांडता येते का? आणि असं असेल तर विविध देशांत एव्हढ्या अडचणी का आहेत? एक अस्सल भारतीय म्हणून आणखी एक प्रश्न मनात येतो की भारतावर इंग्रजांनी दीडशे वर्षं राज्य केलं.  मग ही आपत्ती आधीच समजू शकली नाही का? अशा प्रकारच्या अनेक शंका अनेकांच्या मनात असतील. म्हणूनच मेदनीय ज्योतिष या विषयाबद्दलची थोडी माहिती इथे देण्याचा प्रयत्न करत आहे. 

मेदनीय ज्योतिष हे ज्योतिष शास्त्राचं एक महत्त्वाचं अंग मानलं गेलं आहे. अगदी पूर्वीच्या काळापासून याचा वापर केलेला आढळतो. त्याचं बदललेलं स्वरूप पाहता, त्याचा गर्भितार्थ आणि आत्ताची मांडणी याबद्दल दुमत आहे. माझ्या अभ्यासातून मला दिसलेलं मेदनीय ज्योतिष काय आहे (किंबहुना काय असावं) हे सांगण्याचा इथे प्रयत्न करत आहे. 

पूर्वीच्या काळी मेदनीय ज्योतिषाचा वापर हा नैसर्गिक घटनांसाठी केला गेलेला आढळतो. ज्यात ऋतू बदल, त्यांचा निसर्गावर होणारा परिणाम, भरती ओहोटी, चंद्र दर्शन, नैसर्गिक आपत्तींचं भाकीत, पशु पक्ष्यांवर त्याचा होऊ शकणारा परिणाम, पाऊस अशा अनेक गोष्टींचा उल्लेख आहे. या सर्व गोष्टी संपूर्णपणे नैसर्गिक आहेत. त्यामुळे त्यांचं भाकीत करताना वापरलेलं मेदनीय ज्योतिष शास्त्राला धरून आहे हे निश्चित. त्यासाठी संवत्सर, वेगवेगळ्या कालमापन पद्धती, ऋतू, महिने, पक्ष, दिवस अशा गणितांचा योग्य वापर केलेला आढळतो. तसंच गुरु शनी सारखे मोठे ग्रहगोल, त्यांची स्थिती, सूर्यप्रदक्षिणेचा काळ, सूर्याची स्थिती अशा शास्त्रोक्त गोष्टींचा अवलंब केलेलाही दिसतो. या सर्व परिमाणांचा वापर करून केलेली नैसर्गिक घटनांची भाकितं मला पूर्णपणे मान्य आहेत. 

याच मेदनीय ज्योतिषाचा एक भाग म्हणून एखाद्या राज्याचं भाकीत वर्तवलं गेलं असण्याची शक्यताही मी नाकारत नाही. पण यासाठी त्या राज्याच्या राजाची स्वतःची जन्मकुंडली निश्चितच बनवली गेली असणार. आणखी एक महत्त्वाचा मुद्दा म्हणजे त्या काळी असलेली राज्यपद्धती अत्यंत वेगळी होती. एखाद्या राजावर संपूर्ण राज्याची जबाबदारी होती आणि लोकशाही हे तंत्र अस्तित्वात नव्हतं. अशा वेळी त्या राजाच्या निर्णयावर सर्व गोष्टी अवलंबून असत. राजाच्या दरबारी कितीही अधिकारी असले तरी अंतिम निर्णय घेण्याचा हक्क राजाचाच असे. म्हणून त्या वेळी जर मेदनीय ज्योतिष वापरलं गेलं असेल तर त्यात वावगं असं काही नाही. पण आताची परिस्थिती पाहता अनेक देशांत लोकशाही आली आहे. राजेशाही असली तरी त्याचं स्वरूप लोकशाहीच्या जवळ जाईल असंच राहिलं आहे. मग अशा काळात देश, प्रदेश, शहर यांच्या कुंडल्यांचा मेदनीय ज्योतिषात केला जाणारा वापर अनाकलनीय वाटतो. देशातील महत्त्वाच्या नेत्यांच्या कुंडल्यांचा परिणाम त्यांच्या निवडणुकांमधील निकालांवर नक्कीच होऊ शकतो. किमान तसं भाकीत करणं शास्त्राला धरून वाटतं. पण देश आणि प्रदेशांच्या कुंडल्या हा प्रकार मला सर्वथा अयोग्य वाटतो. 

आता देशाची किंवा प्रदेशाची कुंडली आणि एखाद्या नेत्याची कुंडली यातील अंतर काय आहे ते समजून घेऊ. ज्योतिष शास्त्रात कुंडली ही एखाद्या व्यक्तीसाठी बनवली जाते. कुंडलीतील बारा स्थानांचा अभ्यास हा त्या व्यक्तीचं व्यक्तिमत्व आणि आयुष्यातील इतर व्यक्तिगत गोष्टी पाहण्यासाठी केला जातो. प्रत्येक स्थानाचं वेगळं कारकत्व आहे. या सर्व गोष्टींचा अभ्यास करण्यासाठी कुंडली बनवताना त्या व्यक्तीची जन्म तारीख, जन्म स्थान व जन्म वेळ या माहिती वरून कुंडली तयार केली जाते. जन्म स्थान पाहताना त्या ठिकाणचे अक्षांश व रेखांश किती आहेत हे गणितात मांडले जातात. कुंडली बनवताना लागणाऱ्या ह्या तीन गोष्टी एखाद्या देशाची, प्रदेशाची किंवा शहराची कुंडली बनवताना कशा घेतल्या जाऊ शकतात? तसंच कोणत्याही देशाचं भवितव्य पाहताना कोणत्या स्थानावरून माहिती घ्यावी? या प्रश्नांची उत्तरं शोधताना मला अशी माहिती मिळाली की पंचम स्थान हे संततीचं कारक स्थान आहे, म्हणून देशाची कुंडली मांडताना पंचम स्थान हे लोकसंख्येचं स्थान म्हणून पाहिलं जातं. किंवा तो देश जेव्हा स्वतंत्र झाला अथवा स्वतःच्या नावाने ओळखला गेला ती त्या देशाची जन्म वेळ धरली जाते. अशाच प्रकारे सर्व बारा स्थानांचं कारकत्व देशाच्या कुंडलीत 'बसवलं' जातं. हा भाग मला एक ज्योतिषी म्हणून अनाकलनीय वाटतोच पण याचा फायदा घेऊन सामान्य माणसापासून ते राजकीय नेत्यांपर्यंत कोणाचीही फसवणूक केली जाते हेही चूकच आहे. कोणताही देश हा विशिष्ट नावाने उशिरा ओळखला गेला असेल परंतु त्या मातीचा जन्म पृथ्वीबरोबरच झाला आहे. त्यामुळे देशाची जन्मतारीख, जन्मवेळ आणि जन्मठिकाण (राजधानी ???) मांडणं हे गणित शास्त्रोक्त वाटत नाही. उदाहरणार्थ भारत देशाची जमीन पृथ्वीच्या जन्माबरोबरच अस्तित्वास आली. अनेक संस्कृती, राज्यकर्ते अशा बदलत्या परिस्थितीत काही काळ तो 'भारत' होता. मग दीडशे वर्षं इंग्रजांच्या राजवटीत 'इंडिया' झाला. पुन्हा १९४७ साली स्वतंत्र 'हिंदुस्थान' झाला. पण या सगळ्यात मूळ भारतीय भूमी आहे तिथेच राहिली. मग या देशाची जन्मवेळ, जन्म ठिकाण नक्की कोणतं?  आणि 'भावना' किंवा व्यक्तिगत गोष्टी या माणसाला असतात, मातीला नाही. मनुष्य जन्मातील व्यावहारिक गोष्टींची कसोटी एखाद्या देशाला / प्रदेशाला लावणं तर्कसंगत वाटत नाही. एक लहानसं उदाहरण देऊन ही गोष्ट स्पष्ट करते. कोणत्याही मुलीचा जन्म जिथे आणि ज्या वेळेस होतो त्यावरून तिची जन्म कुंडली बनवली जाते. लग्न झाल्यावर त्या मुलीचं नाव, राहण्याचं ठिकाण बदलतं. पण तिची नवीन ओळख म्हणून नवीन कुंडली बनवली जात नाही. तसंच सगळे देश हे एक भूमी म्हणून पृथ्वीच्या जन्माच्या वेळेसच जन्माला आले आहेत. नवीन ओळख मिळणं ही काही जन्मवेळ धरली जाऊ शकत नाही. आणि भविष्यात काही मोठ्या घटनेमुळे तो देश वेगळ्या नावाने ओळखला गेला किंवा त्या देशाचं विभाजन झालं तर यातील कसोट्या पुन्हा बदलाव्या लागतील. म्हणूनच मेदनीय ज्योतिषातील देशांच्या कुंडल्या बनवण्याचा भाग मला पटत नाही.              

ज्या राज्यकर्त्यांवर देशाची स्थिती अवलंबून आहे अशा नेत्यांच्या कुंडल्या त्यांच्यासाठी मांडणं योग्य आहे पण त्याची चर्चा देशाच्या भवितव्यासाठी करता येणार नाही. असे नेते निवडणुकीत जिंकतील का? किंवा ते देशाच्या प्रगतीत हातभार लावतील का? अशा प्रश्नांची उत्तरं नक्कीच कुंडली वरून मिळतील. पण त्यासाठी त्यांच्या राजकीय पक्षाची कुंडली मांडणं मला पटत नाही. केवळ वृत्तपत्र, मासिकातील रकाने भरून पैसे मिळवण्यासाठी या गोष्टीचा उपयोग केला जातो. म्हणूनच अशा पद्धतीचं कोणतंही भाकीत मी करत नाही किंबहुना मला ते पटतच नाही.

माझ्या मते मेदनीय ज्योतिषाचा खरा उपयोग नैसर्गिक घटना म्हणजे पाऊस पडणे, नैसर्गिक आपत्ती अशा गोष्टींसाठी जरूर व्हावा. विशेषतः शेतकरी बांधवांसाठी वेगवेगळे मुहूर्त दिलेले असतात उदा: पेरणीसाठी. याचं कारण दरवर्षी पावसाचं चक्र थोडं फार बदलू शकतं. नक्षत्रांची त्यावेळची स्थिती पाहून पावसाचा अंदाज लावता येऊ शकतो कारण सूर्यमालेतील ग्रह ताऱ्यांचा परिणाम पृथ्वीवरील घटनांवर होतच असतो. त्यामुळे दुष्काळ, अतिवृष्टी, भूकंप, बर्फवृष्टी अशा अत्यंत नैसर्गिक घटनांसाठी या शास्त्रोक्त पद्धतीचा वापर जरूर व्हावा. जेणेकरून योग्य वेळी पेरणी, कापणी करून पिकं चांगली येण्यास शेतकरी बांधवांना सहकार्य मिळेल. तसंच एखाद्या देशात नैसर्गिक आपत्ती ओढवणार असेल तर सरकारला तशी काळजी घेऊन जनतेला सहकार्य करता येईल व होईल तितकी जीवितहानी टाळता येईल. इतकंच काय वैयक्तिक पातळीवर कोणी दूरच्या प्रवासाला जाणार असेल तरी अशा नैसर्गिक गोष्टींचा अंदाज असेल तर प्रवास सुखरूप व्हावा म्हणून योग्य वेळ ठरवता येईल. खरं तर पंचांगात दिलेले हे मुहूर्त नैसर्गिक हालचालींचा अंदाज देण्यासाठीच असतात आणि वेगवेगळ्या कारणांसाठी वापरले जाऊ शकतात. परंतु याचा कोणताही दुरुपयोग करून लोकांना लुबाडणं अत्यंत गैर आहे.                  

असो, मेदनीय ज्योतिष या अत्यंत शास्त्रोक्त पद्धतीचा योग्य वापर होऊन देशातील नैसर्गिक घटनांचा अभ्यास व्हावा व सामान्य जनतेला त्यातून काही फायदा व्हावा असं माझं मत आहे. राजकारणातील अस्थिरतेचा फायदा घेऊन हे शास्त्र वापरू नये व जनतेनेही कोणत्याही अशा भूलथापांना बळी पडू नये ही माझी नम्र विनंती आहे.

Many people have a (mis) understanding that Mundane Astrology is calculation and prediction of the Kundli (horoscope) of a country / state. Now a days at many places, information regarding the 'problems' of a particular place is given on the basis of the zodiac sign of that country, state or even the city. When elections are near, such discussions are at their peak. But is it really possible to make a kundli of a country? And if it is then why so many countries are facing serious problems? As a true Indian I have another question in my mind. India was ruled by the British for almost 150 years. Then why this major problem was not predicted earlier? Many readers will have such doubts in their minds. So I am trying to give some information regarding Mundane astrology.  

Mundane astrology is a very important branch of astrology. The application of this branch can be referred from very ancient texts. Speaking about today's world I really find it difficult to establish a link between the actual purpose and today's application of Mundane astrology. So here I am trying to explain my point of view on what is (rather what should be) Mundane astrology.

In ancient times Mundane astrology was used to predict natural phenomenons. This included changes in seasons, its effect on the environment on earth, eclipses, high or low tides, moon sightings, prediction of natural calamities, effect of calamities on life of plants and animals, rains etc. These all phenomenons are naturally occurring, so their prediction using astrology is definitely scientific. For these predictions the mathematical calculations were based on Samvatsara (Jovian year), various time calculation methods, seasons, months, Paksha (Lunar fortnights) and days. Along with these the planetary positions, revolution of planets around the Sun, respective position of the Sun were also taken into account to make the calculations perfect. I absolutely agree with all these predictions based on the scientific criteria and relevant methodology.  

I do not deny the possibility of the prediction of a country at that time. But for this prediction, the kundli of the king or ruler of that country must have been calculated. 

Another important point is then existing aristocratic system was totally different than the democratic system present in today's world. In aristocracy the rulers or kings had all strength in their hands, so every decision was taken by them. Though many officers were working under the rulers, the final execution of any order was not possible without the permission of the rulers. That is why the application of Mundane astrology at that time was probably acceptable. Now with the change of time democracy is the working government system in most of the countries. Though today aristocracy is not totally wiped out, it is nearly approaching democracy wherever it is still existing. In this form of government system, the application of Mundane astrology to calculate the kundlis of countries, states or cities has no relevance. The kundlis of political leaders can help in prediction of their position in elections on personal level. But making kundlis of countries or places sounds imprudent to me.

Now lets know about the difference between the kundli of a country and that of a political leader. In astrology a kundli is made for a human being. The twelve houses are studied to know about the nature and other personal matters of that person. Every house has its own instrumentality. The kundli is made by mathematical calculations based on the person's birth time, birth place and birth date. Birth place means the latitudes and longitudes of the place where the person was born. Now the questions arise that how these three parameters can be derived for a place or a country? Which house is assigned for the future of a country? When I tried to find out the answers, I got the information like fifth house is the house of progeny, so in a country's kundli he fifth house is meant for the population. And when the country got it's independence or got it's name per se, that was the birth time of the country. Just like this all twelve houses are 'assigned' for different parameters based on the application in a kundli of a human being. As an astrologer I not only abhor this prediction method but I also oppose this kind of practice where anybody from common people to politicians are bamboozled. Any country may have been recognized by it's particular name lately, but the land was formed along with the earth itself. So using a country's birth place (capital???) or time or date for calculations doesn't sound scientific. Lets take an example of India. The land now known as India was born along with the earth. During all the development of earth and different rulers and cultures it was known as Bharat for sometime. Under British rulers it was known as India. After independence in 1947 again it was known as Hindustan. But in all this process the original land was there where it was from the beginning. Then how can we calculate the birth place or time of India? Importantly a human being has emotions but a piece of land has no emotions. Thus applying the human criteria to any land makes no sense. I will give another practical example. When any baby girl is born, her janm kundli is made on the basis of her birth time, place and time. When the girl gets married she changes her name, residence etc. But after her new identity a new kundli is not made on her new details. Just like that all countries were born as pieces of lands (which were named afterwards) when the earth was formed. So a new identity of a country can not be taken as it's birth time. If so, then a name change or independence or partition can affect the kundli of that country. This is the reason why I don't support this part of Mundane astrology.

Making kundlis of political leaders of ruling parties is logical for their personal views but not for debates on that country's future. Their kundlis can tell us whether they will win the elections or whether they will serve the country for the progress in future. But I feel that making a political party's kundli for this purpose is not logical. This kind of astrological information is only used for filling columns in magazines or news papers to earn money. So I abhor such kind of prediction rather I do not agree to it. 

I feel Mundane astrology should be purely used for the predictions of natural phenomena like rains, natural calamities etc. Especially it can be used for the farmers where best periods are given for various steps in farming e.g. harvesting. The reason behind this is the cycle of nature can change a bit every year. So by studying position of planets and Sun one can predict the possible period of start of rainy season or other similar natural events. As all nearby celestial bodies affect the earth by some or the other way. So this study can be extremely useful in predicting natural phenomena like rains, drought, earthquake, snowfall, heavy rains etc. This can help the farmers to get maximum crops at the time. It can also help the government if the natural calamities are approaching to make proper arrangements beforehand  and avoid the loss. Not only this but it can also help on personal level to arrange a safe long distance travel. The Muhurta (time) given in the panchanga are also based on Mundane astrology and help to know about such events beforehand. Well these Muhurtas can be used for many purposes, but any malpractice using the knowledge of this science should be forbidden.       

Any way my sincere opinion about Mundane astrology is, this method should be used to predict natural phenomena and help people in various ways. The use of this science to take advantage of unstable political circumstances should be strictly avoided. I humbly request people not to get buncoed by such kind of practices.

द्वादशस्थान (व्ययस्थान) The twelfth house (House of expenses)

जन्म कुंडलीतील द्वादश (बाराव्या) स्थानाला व्ययस्थान असंही म्हणतात. व्यय म्हणजे खर्च. आता आयुष्यातील हा खर्च आर्थिक आहे की कष्टांच्या रूपाने, चांगल्या कारणासाठी आहे की वाईट, ठरवून केलेला आहे की अनपेक्षित, याचा अभ्यास या स्थानावरून होतो. त्याशिवाय या स्थानावरून आयुष्यातील एकटेपणा, अध्यात्मिक प्रगती, तुरुंगवास, राजदंड या सगळ्यांचाही विचार याच स्थानावरून होतो. आता याचा प्रत्यक्षात कसा उपयोग होतो ते पाहू. 

व्यय म्हणजेच खर्च हा कोणत्या उद्देशाने होईल याचा अंदाज या स्थानावरून येतो. आरोग्य, जागा, वाहन, शिक्षण, विवाह अशा अनेक कारणांसाठी पैसे खर्च होत असतात. कधी कधी अनपेक्षितरीत्या आर्थिक फटका बसतो. ध्यानीमनी नसताना अनेक खर्च करावे लागतात. उदा: अपघात, आजारपण, आर्थिक ठेवी बुडणे, फसवणूक व त्यातून झालेलं आर्थिक नुकसान इत्यादी. अशा वेळी कधीतरी कर्ज घेऊन सुद्धा गरजा  भागवाव्या लागतात. ह्या गोष्टींचा विचार व्ययस्थानावरून होत असल्याने आपली आर्थिक गुंतवणूक कशा प्रकारे असावी याचा निर्णय घेण्याआधी या स्थानाचा अभ्यास केल्यास निश्चितच मार्गदर्शन मिळेल. विशेषतः अचानक काही खर्च येऊ शकतात का किंवा असे योग कुंडलीत असतील तर गुंतवणूक करताना कोणती काळजी घ्यावी याचा विचार करता येईल. कधी कधी व्यसनं, विलासी आयुष्य यातही विनाकारण खर्च केला जातो. ज्याला अपव्यय म्हणता येईल. आपल्या कामाच्या ठिकाणी लाच घेऊन विलासी आयुष्य जगणारे, दुसर्यांना अडचणीत पाहून त्याचा फायदा उठवणारे अनेक लोक आपण पाहतो. अशा लोकांच्या कुंडलीत द्वादश भाव व त्यासंबंधी ग्रहांचे वाईट योग्य असण्याची दाट शक्यता असते.  

द्वादशस्थान हे एकटेपणा, तुरुंगवास याचंही स्थान आहे. काही व्यक्तींना त्यांची वाईट कर्मं / वृत्ती यामुळे समाजातून हद्दपार केलं जातं  किंवा कोणीही त्यांच्याशी संपर्क ठेवत नसल्यानं त्यांना एकटेपणा सहन करावा लागतो. नातेवाईक असूनही अशा व्यक्तींशी संबंध ठेवत नाहीत तर कधी दुर्दैवाने माता पित्याचंच नाव ठाऊक नसल्याने अनाथपण नशिबी येतं. काही लोक कुटुंबात राहत असतात पण त्यातील कोणाशीही मन न जुळल्यामुळे मानसिक एकटेपणा भोगत असतात. अशा अनेक वेगवेगळ्या परिस्थितींत एकटेपणा येऊ शकतो. मनुष्य हा सामाजिक प्राणी असल्याने एकटेपणामुळे अनेक त्रास भोगावे लागतात. यात मानसिक संतुलन बिघडण्यापासून आत्महत्येपर्यंत अनेक वाईट गोष्टी घडू शकतात. काही व्यक्ती मात्र एकटेपणामुळे खचून न जाता त्यातूनही मार्ग काढतात आणि स्वतःची ओळख नव्याने तयार करतात. आयुष्यात एकटेपणा असेल का की कौटुंबिक सौख्य मिळेल याचा अभ्यास करताना दोन्ही बाजुंनी विचार करून कोणत्याही परिस्थितीत याची परिणीती वाईट गोष्टींत होणार नाही याची काळजी आपण नक्कीच घेऊ शकतो.

जन्मकुंडलीतील अकराव्या स्थानाला लाभस्थान असंही म्हणतात. या स्थानावरून मनुष्याला होणाऱ्या सर्वप्रकारच्या लाभांचा विचार केला जातो. यात इछा आकांक्षा यांची पूर्तता, योग्य वेळी मदत करणारे वा आधार देणारे स्नेही, मित्र परिवार, हितचिंतक, जवळच्या व्यक्ती व त्यांच्याकडून मिळणारा मानसिक आधार यांचा विचार होतो. तसंच आर्थिक लाभांचाही विचार होतो. वेगवेगळ्या क्षेत्रातून होणारे आर्थिक लाभ उदा: लेखन, कला, व्यवसाय, विशेषतः परदेशातील कामांमुळे होणारे आर्थिक लाभ, मित्र परिवाराकडून होणारे आर्थिक साहाय्य अशा अनेक पैलूंचा विचार या स्थानावरून केला जातो. जन्मकुंडलीतील दशमस्थानाला कर्मस्थान असंही म्हणतात. या स्थानावरून मनुष्याचे कर्म कसे असेल याचा अभ्यास करता येतो. म्हणून या स्थानावरून स्वतःच्या कर्माने मिळवलेल्या गोष्टी म्हणजे नाव, मान मरातब, प्रसिद्धी, कार्य कोणत्या क्षेत्रात असेल, यश, समाजातील स्थान, सार्वजनिक आयुष्य, त्यातील चढ उतार, लोकप्रियता अशा अनेक गोष्टींबद्दल माहिती मिळते. हे पितृस्थानही आहे त्यामुळे कोणत्याही व्यक्तीचे आपल्या वडिलांशी असलेले संबंध, पितृसुख याचाही अभ्यास या स्थानावरून केला जातो. आता याचा प्रत्यक्ष आयुष्यात कसा उपयोग होतो ते पाहू. 

कोणताही मनुष्य (स्त्री किंवा पुरुष) स्वकर्माने उदयाला येतो किंवा वाईट कर्म असेल तर देशोधडीला लागतो. कर्म म्हणजेच मनुष्य आयुष्यात कोणते कार्य करतो, अर्थार्जन कसे करतो, वैवाहिक आयुष्यात घर कसे सांभाळतो, कोणत्या प्रकारे समाजाची सेवा करतो अशा अनेक गोष्टी आहेत. मनुष्याचं शिक्षण पूर्ण झाल्यावर अर्थार्जनाला सुरुवात होते. कधी कधी शिक्षण आणि अर्थार्जनाचं साधन याचा काही संबंध नसतो. अनेक नोकऱ्या किंवा व्यवसाय केले जातात. तर कधी कुणी खेळात प्राविण्य मिळवून त्या क्षेत्रात नाव आणि पैसा मिळवतात. एखाद्या व्यक्तीचं कर्म कोणत्या क्षेत्राशी संबंधित असेल आणि त्याचा शिक्षणाशी संबंध असेल का? याचा विचार या स्थानावरून करता येतो. शिक्षणानंतर एखाद्या व्यक्तीला वेगळ्या क्षेत्रात प्रगती करावीशी वाटली तर असे पाऊल उचलावे का याचा आधीच विचार केला तर नंतर होणारे नुकसान टाळता येऊ शकेल. आयुष्यातल्या अनेक गोष्टी या आपल्या कर्मावर अवलंबून असतात. म्हणूनच या स्थानाचा अभ्यास केल्यास आयुष्यात स्थिर होण्यास मदत मिळू शकेल तसंच आयुष्याच्या उत्तरार्धात समाधानाने जगता येईल. 

दशम स्थान हे पितृस्थानही आहे. काही ज्योतिषी नवमस्थान हे पितृस्थान मानतात. परंतु कोणत्याही कुंडलीत सप्तमस्थान हे वैवाहिक जोडीदाराचं स्थान असतं. त्यानुसार चतुर्थस्थानाचं (मातृस्थान) सप्तमस्थान म्हणजेच दशमस्थान हे पितृस्थान मानलं जावं हे गणित मला माझ्या अभ्यासानुसार योग्य वाटतं. पितृस्थान असल्यामुळे या स्थानावरून पितृसुख किती असेल, त्या व्यक्तीचे पित्याशी नाते संबंध कसे राहतील याचा अंदाज या स्थानावरून येतो. अनेकदा सावत्रपणामुळेही मुलं आणि वडिलांच्यात संवाद होत नाहीत. अशा प्रकारच्या वेगवेगळ्या अडचणींत दशम स्थानाचा अभ्यास केल्यास अनेक गुंते सुटू शकतात. वडिलांची मालमत्ता, वडिलोपार्जित संपत्ती / व्यवसाय व त्यातील वडिलांचा सहभाग, घरात असलेलं वडिलांचं वर्तन अशा अनेक गोष्टींमध्ये या स्थानाचा अभ्यास महत्त्वाचा ठरतो. 

या स्थानाचा अंमल गुढघ्यावर असतो. त्यामुळे यासंबंधातील तक्रारी, गुढघेदुखीमुळे होणारे त्रास, अशा वेळी करावी लागणारी शस्त्रक्रिया अशा अनेक बाबतीत या स्थानाचा अभ्यास केल्यास उत्तम मार्गदर्शन मिळू शकते. 

अशा प्रकारे दशम स्थान या अत्यंत महत्त्वाच्या स्थानाचा अभ्यास केल्यास वेळीच काही गोष्टींचे निर्णय घेण्यास मदत मिळू शकते. तसेच आपल्याला आयुष्यात कोणत्या क्षेत्रात पुढे जायचे आहे याचा निर्णय घेताना पूर्ण विचाराअंती निर्णय घेतल्यास नुकसान टाळता येऊ शकेल.

It means this house describes the things achieved by efforts like name, fame, honour, prestige, success, public life and status, ups and downs in social life, popularity, achievements at work place etc. This house is also known as Pitrusthana or house of one's father. So it also describes the relationship with one's father. Now lets see how practically it can be applied.

Any person's achievement in life depends on the karma or deeds. Good deeds will lead to successful life and bad deeds will lead to the downfall of the person. Now the deeds means how one works in life, earns by which way, one's behaviour in married life and social life etc. Mostly a person starts earning after the education is complete. Some times educational background and earning source are not related. Some people go for different businesses or jobs, some people settle in life being sports persons and some people chose a different career altogether. This permanency in life and its relation with the educational background is calculated on the basis of tenth house. If one wants to pursuit a different profession after completing basic education then one can give a thought beforehand by studying the tenth house to avoid further complications. The tenth house is also known as pitrusthana or the house of father. Some astrologers consider ninth house as pitrusthana. But in any kundli the seventh house is the house of spouse. According to this, the seventh house of the house of mother should be the house of father. So I feel considering the tenth house as pitrusthana is the correct calculation method as it is the seventh house of matrusthana (fourth house). So being a pitrusthana this house describes one's relation with the father. Many times such relationship is spoiled due to the second marriage of the mother / father. Such cases lead to different complications and problems in the house which can be dealt by studying this house. जन्मकुंडलीतील नवव्या स्थानाला भाग्य स्थान असंही म्हणतात. या स्थानावरून त्या व्यक्तीचा भाग्योदय, लोकोपयोगी कामे, धर्मावरील विश्वास आणि त्यासाठी केलेली उपयुक्त कार्ये, धर्मस्थान वा देवस्थानासाठीचे प्रवास अशा काही गोष्टींचा अभ्यास केला जातो. आता याचा प्रत्यक्षात कसा उपयोग होतो ते पाहू. 

कोणत्याही व्यक्तीच्या आयुष्यात चढ उतार येतच असतात. पण एका विशिष्ट वयात एखाद्या व्यक्तीचं भाग्य उदयाला येतं. हा योग म्हणजेच भाग्योदय. भाग्योदय म्हणजे माझ्या मते बालपणानंतर स्वकष्टाने किंवा क्वचित नशिबाने आयुष्याच्या पुढील पर्वात मिळवलेलं सौख्य. यात मी बालपणात मिळालेलं सौख्य हे भाग्योदयात गणलं नाही. कारण हे आधीच्या पिढीमुळे मिळालेलं सौख्य असतं. याचा वैयक्तिक भाग्याशी संबंध मी जोडला नाही. असो, हा भाग्योदय अर्थार्जन, यश, मनोकामना पूर्णत्वाला जाणे, प्रसिद्धी, उत्तम स्थळ मिळून विवाह होणे, स्वतःचे घर / वाहन अशा अनेक प्रकारे मांडला जाऊ शकतो. भाग्योदयाची व्याख्या त्या व्यक्तीच्या परिस्थितीवर अवलंबून असते. त्यामुळे भाग्य केव्हा उदयाला येईल असा प्रश्न विचारताना सरसकट एकच कसोटी न लावता आपल्या परिस्थितीचा आणि आपल्याला काय साध्य करायचं आहे याचा विचार करून हा प्रश्न विचारावा. भाग्योदय ही केवळ सुरुवात असते. यानंतर आयुष्यात अडचणी येणारच नाहीत असा काहींचा गैरसमज असतो. मात्र आपल्या कष्टाने आपल्या इच्छा पूर्ण करताना अडचणी तर येणारच. परंतु भाग्य उदयाला आल्यानंतरच त्या पूर्णत्वाला जातात. भाग्योदय म्हणजे सर्व अडचणी दूर झाल्या असे नाही. 

नवम स्थानावरून तीर्थ यात्रा, धर्मस्थळांचे दर्शन, धर्मकार्ये अशाही गोष्टींचा अभ्यास केला जातो. काही व्यक्तींचे असे प्रवास किंवा तीर्थ यात्रा बऱ्याचदा लांबतात किंवा रद्द होतात. विशेषतः धर्मस्थळ दूर असेल तर अशा अडचणी अनेकदा येतात. अशा वेळी नवम स्थानावरून याचा अंदाज घेता येईल की तीर्थयात्रा केव्हा संपन्न होईल.  

या स्थानाचा अंमल हा मांडीवर असतो. यासंबंधी काही तक्रारी विशेषतः लठ्ठपणा / वातामुळे मांडीचे स्नायू दुखणे वा आखडणे यात नवम स्थानाच्या अभ्यासावरून वैद्यकीय उपायांबरोबरच आणखी काही उपाय करता येतील. ज्या मैदानी खेळात मांडीचे स्नायू बळकट असणं आवश्यक आहे अशा खेळाडूंच्या कुंडलीत नवम स्थान महत्त्वाचं ठरेल. तसंच लहान मुलांच्या चालण्यात दोष असेल व निदान होत नसेल तर आरोग्य स्थानाबरोबर नवम स्थानाचाही अभ्यास केल्यास निदान करण्यास मदत होईल.

The ninth house in Janm kundli is also known as Bhagya sthana (house of Fortune). This house can describe about the fortune or prosperity, social work, belief in religion and religious deeds, pilgrimage to holy places etc. Now lets see how practically this can be applied.

In any person's life usual ups and downs are obvious. At some stage of life every person starts getting results of his own 'fortune'. This beginning of fortune is known as Bhagyodaya. According to me the Bhagyodaya is the prosperity or happiness achieved or in rare cases getting by luck, after childhood. I particularly said 'after childhood' because in childhood everything is provided by parents and nothing is achieved per se. Any way a Bhagyodaya can be presented in many ways like earning, success, achieving a goal, getting a good life partner, getting own house or a vehicle, getting fame etc.  The definition of Bhagyodaya depends on the background of the person. So while asking a question regarding fortune, one should think about the goal to be achieved and the circumstances around. Bhagyodaya is just the beginning of fortune. But that doesn't mean that all the problems are solved. While achieving the goals some ups and downs or obstacles can occur. Bhagyodaya just begins the fortune and helps us in completing our goals.    

The ninth house also describes about the travel to holy places, religious deeds and belief in religion and social welfare. In Hinduism the pilgrimage to holy places is considered to be very auspicious. Sometimes such travels are delayed or cancelled due to many reasons. Especially when the holy place is far away then travelling becomes a problem for elders. In such cases it can be calculated that when the pilgrimage is possible.

This house governs the thigh portion of our body. Any ailments regarding this portion especially pain in thigh muscles due to obesity or vata or strain in muscles can be studied by using this house. The ninth house is important in the horoscopes of the sports persons who need to strengthen their muscles. जन्मकुंडलीतील आठव्या स्थानाला मृत्यूस्थान असंही म्हणतात. या स्थानावरून एकूण आयुर्मान किती असेल, मृत्यू कसा असेल, आजारपण यांचा प्रामुख्याने अभ्यास केला जातो. तसेच या स्थानावरून एखाद्या व्यक्तीला गूढशास्त्रातील ज्ञान किती असेल याचाही अंदाज येतो. आता प्रत्यक्षात याचा कसा उपयोग होतो ते पाहू. 

आपलं आयुष्य किती असेल याबद्दल अनेकांना कुतूहल असतं. अष्टम स्थानावरून मृत्यू कोणत्या दिवशी येईल असं भाकीतही काही जण करतात. पण केवळ गरज असेल तरच अशा गोष्टीसाठी ज्योतिषाकडे विचारणा केल्यास ते योग्य ठरेल. वृद्ध व्यक्ती, अति महत्त्वाच्या पदावरील व्यक्ती, ज्यांच्या मृत्यूनंतर परिवारात काही मतभेद (उदा: संपत्ती) होणार असतील अशा व्यक्तींनीच मृत्यूबद्दल माहिती करून घेतल्यास ते शास्त्राला धरून होईल असं माझं मत आहे. केवळ कुतूहल म्हणून लहान वयाच्या व्यक्तींनी असे प्रश्न न विचारल्यास उत्तम. 

कोणत्याही व्यक्तीच्या आयुष्याचा शेवट म्हणजे महामृत्यू. महामृत्यू हा अटळ असून तो विधिलिखिताप्रमाणेच घडतो. महामृत्यू हा कोणत्याही वयात येऊ शकतो. प्रत्येक व्यक्ती दीर्घायुषी नसते. पण महामृत्यू आधी काही जीवावर बेतणारे प्रसंग आल्यास मृत्यूचा धोका संभवतो. ज्याला अपमृत्यू असं म्हणतात. अपमृत्यू हा स्वतःची काळजी घेऊन किंवा देवतेच्या आराधनेमुळे टाळता येऊ शकतो. याची पूर्वसूचना भाकीत करताना ज्योतिषाने द्यावी.         

या स्थानावरून मृत्यू कसा येईल याचा अभ्यास करता येतो. म्हणजेच नैसर्गिक मृत्यू, आजारपणाने आलेला मृत्यू, अपघाती मृत्यू, आत्महत्या, हत्या यातील कोणत्या प्रकाराने आयुष्याचा शेवट होऊ शकतो याचा अभ्यास केला जातो. तसेच मृत्यू कधी येईल याचाही सखोल अभ्यास या स्थानावरून केला जातो. लहान वयात येणारा मृत्यू जर महामृत्यू असेल तर यावर काही उपाय करता येत नाही. मात्र अपमृत्यू टाळण्यासाठी या स्थानाचा अभ्यास खूप महत्त्वाचा ठरतो.     

मृत्यू कधी आणि कसा येईल याचा अभ्यास केल्यास त्याचा मुख्य उपयोग होतो तो संपत्तीचं वाटप, कायदेशीर कागदपत्रं इत्यादी गोष्टींमध्ये. अनेक व्यक्ती आपला आयुष्ययोग कमी कसा असेल अशा विचाराने मृत्युपत्र करून ठेवत नाहीत. अशा व्यक्तींच्या अकस्मात मृत्यूमुळे नंतर अनेक वाद होतात. कधी कधी संशयास्पद मृत्यू मुळेही अनेक गोष्टींचा निर्णय घेता येत नाही. मोठ्या हुद्द्यावर असणाऱ्या व्यक्ती, व्यावसायिक अशा व्यक्तींच्या मृत्यूनंतर कायदेशीर वाद झालेले आपण बऱ्याचदा पाहतो. म्हणूनच ज्योतिष शास्त्राचा आधार घेऊन मृत्यूबद्दल मनात भीती न बाळगता आपलं आयुर्मान किती आहे याची माहिती योग्य वेळी करून घेतल्यास अनेक वाद टाळता येतील. तसेच एखाद्या व्यक्तीचा संशयास्पद मृत्यू झाला तर तो मृत्यू कसा व कोणामुळे झाला याची शहानिशा करण्यासाठीही या स्थानाचा उपयोग होतो. काही देशांमध्ये असा तपास करण्यासाठी ज्योतिषी किंवा अंतर्ज्ञान असलेल्या व्यक्तींना बोलावतात. अशा लोकांना psychic म्हणतात व पोलीस, गुप्तहेर अशा लोकांची मदत घेतात. 

अष्टम स्थान हे गूढ विद्येचं स्थानही आहे. त्यामुळे गूढ शास्त्राचा अभ्यास करणाऱ्या व्यक्तींसाठी हे स्थान खूप महत्त्वाचं आहे. एखाद्या व्यक्तीला अशा शास्त्राची आवड असेलही पण त्यात प्राविण्य मिळेल का याचा विचार या स्थानावरून होतो. गूढ विद्या वाईट मार्गांसाठीच वापरली जाते असं नाही. काही चांगल्या गोष्टींसाठीही तंत्रशास्त्रात या विद्येचा वापर केला जातो. पण ज्या व्यक्तीला अशा शास्त्रांची आवड असते अशा व्यक्तीच्या कुंडलीतील अष्टम स्थान व त्यासंबंधित ग्रह बलवान असले तरच यात प्राविण्य मिळू शकेल.   

या स्थानाचा अंमल गुह्यभागावर असतो. त्यामुळे यासंबंधित काही आरोग्याच्या तक्रारी असतील तर या स्थानाच्या अभ्यासामुळे त्यांचे निदान व उपचार यासाठी साहाय्य मिळू शकेल.  

एकूणच हे स्थान पापस्थान मानलं जातं. पण मृत्यू अटळ आहे. त्यामुळे मृत्यूबद्दल कोणतीही भीती न बाळगता या स्थानावरून योग्य माहिती घेतल्यास अनेक गोष्टी चांगल्या पद्धतीने हाताळता येतील.

Every person is curious about the life span. Some astrologers predict the exact date and time of the death of a person. But I personally feel that such a sensitive question should be asked only if required. सप्तमस्थान (विवाह स्थान) The seventh house (House of spouse)

जन्मकुंडलीतील सप्तम स्थानाला विवाह स्थान असेही म्हणतात. या स्थानावरून वैवाहिक सुख, जोडीदार, जोडीदारापासून मिळणारं सौख्य यांचा प्रामुख्यानं विचार केला जातो. 

सप्तम स्थानावरून विवाहाचा विचार केला जात असल्याने या स्थानाला विशेष असं महत्त्व आहे. विवाहसंस्थेची व्याख्या देश, संस्कृती, काळ यानुसार बदलत असते. त्यामुळे या स्थानाला अनेक कांगोरे आहेत. भारताचा विचार करायचा तर आपल्याकडे पूर्वी प्रचलित असलेली बालविवाह पद्धती, द्विभार्या (किंवा अधिक) पद्धती, आधी स्त्री प्रधान संस्कृतीनुसार असलेल्या व नंतर पुरुष प्रधान विचारांनी बदललेल्या चालीरीती, आताच्या काळातील विवाहयोग्य समजण्याचं वय, हुंडा देणे घेणे, पुनर्विवाह अशा अनेक गोष्टींचा यात समावेश होतो. अनेक धर्मांत, जातींत आजही याबद्दलचे कठोर निर्बंध आहेत. त्यामुळे विवाह ही गोष्ट एकाच साच्यातून न पाहता सामाजिक भान ठेवून या स्थानाचा विचार करावा लागतो. याशिवाय प्रत्येक व्यक्तीचे स्वतःचे असे काही विचार असतात. त्यातून ज्या गोष्टी घडतात त्या समाजाच्या चाकोरीबाहेरील असतील तर समाज त्यांना लवकर सामावून घेत नाही. पण याच गोष्टी त्या व्यक्तीसाठी योग्य असतात. अशा काही पैलूंचा आता थोडक्यात परामर्श घेऊ. 

सप्तम स्थानावरून एखाद्या व्यक्तीचा जोडीदार कसा असेल, त्याचं रंग- रूप, स्वभाव याचा उलगडा होतो. आताच्या काळात शिक्षण आणि अर्थार्जन स्त्री - पुरुष दोघांसाठीही महत्त्वाचं असल्याने या स्थानावरून जोडीदाराचं शिक्षण आणि आर्थिक स्थिती याचा विचार करता येतो. मुख्य विचार म्हणजे वैवाहिक सौख्य हा होय. त्यामुळे जोडीदार चांगला संसार करू शकेल का, त्यातून दोघांना समाधानाचं आयुष्य जगता येईल का अशा गोष्टींचा विचार आवश्यक असतो. यात लग्न ठरवून करायचं असेल तर हे मुद्दे खूप उपयोगी ठरतात. कारण पती पत्नीचे विचार जुळणं आणि एकमेकांवर विश्वास असणं ही सुखी संसाराची गुरुकिल्ली आहे. आता यातील इतर काही मुद्दे म्हणजे स्त्रीने (कितीही उच्चशिक्षित असली तरी) अर्थार्जन आणि घरकाम दोन्हीही करावं, एकट्या स्त्रीवर असणारी बंधनं, अजूनही मनावर असेलला जात धर्माचा पगडा, हुंड्यासारखी अत्यंत चुकीची पद्धत यामुळे बऱ्याच अडचणी येतात. तर कधीकधी पुरुषांची होणारी ओढाताण, पत्नीकडील नातेवाईकांमुळे पुरुषाचे स्वतःच्या नातेवाईकांशी होणारे वाद अशाही गोष्टी होतात. अनेक घराण्यांच्या कालबाह्य असल्या तरी पाळल्या जाणाऱ्या चालीरीती, मानापमान अशा अनेक गोष्टींमुळे वैवाहिक आयुष्यात वाद होतात. आपल्याकडे अजूनही पती पत्नीला म्हणावं तेवढं स्वातंत्र्य दिलं जात नाही. आपली संस्कृती अत्यंत सुसंबद्ध आहे. पण अनेक वेळा संस्कृतीतील काही संस्कारांचा अतिरेक केला जातो. काळानुसार होणार बदल अजूनही रुजवला जात नाही. यामुळे पती पत्नीला वैचारिक स्वातंत्र्य राहत नाही. एकत्र कुटुंबात राहूनही असे बदल घडवता येतील पण काळानुसार कोणत्या जुन्या चालीरीती वर्ज्य करायच्या किंवा कोणत्या रीती बदलायच्या याचं भान राखल्यास अनेक अडचणी सोडवल्या जातील. म्हणून सप्तम स्थानावरून आपला जोडीदार कसा असावा याबद्दल मत ठरवताना आपल्यातही तसे बदल घडवायचे असतात हे स्त्री आणि पुरुष दोघांनीही ध्यानात घ्यावं.

जुन्या विचारांच्या पगड्यामुळे आजही अनेक मुला मुलींना शिक्षणाची आवड असली तरी विवाहयोग्य ठरवून लवकर विवाहबंधनात अडकवलं जातं. विशेषतः मुलींचे पालक मुलींकडे एक जबाबदारी म्हणून पाहतात. यामुळे पालकांनी दुर्लक्ष केलेल्या मुलींचा मानसिक छळ होणं, हुंड्यासाठी जीव घेणं, मुलगा होत नाही म्हणून त्रास देणं, अंधश्रद्धेच्या आहारी जाऊन पुत्रप्राप्ती साठी नको त्या भोंदू व्यक्तीकडे जाऊन 'उपाय' करणं या गोष्टी सर्रास घडतात. मुलांनाही उच्चशिक्षण, मोकळे विचार यापासून दूर राहावं लागतं. अशा वेळी संसार सुख नसून केवळ औपचारिकता राहते. सप्तम स्थानाचा पूर्ण अभ्यास केल्यास अशा व्यक्तींपासून दूर राहण्यासाठी मार्गदर्शन नक्की मिळू शकेल. कोणत्याही व्यक्तीचे विचार, शिक्षण याचा अभ्यास करून विवाहाचं वय ठरवल्यास आणि अनुरूप जोडीदार निवडल्यास अनेक संसार सुखाचे होतील हे निश्चित.
