षष्ठस्थान (आरोग्य स्थान) The sixth house (Health house)

जन्म कुंडलीतील षष्ठ स्थानाला आरोग्य स्थान असंही म्हणतात. ह्या स्थानावरून प्रामुख्याने आरोग्याचा विचार केला जातो. तसंच काही छुपे शत्रू, त्या शत्रूंचा नाश किंवा वृद्धी, व्रण किंवा तत्सम गाष्टींमुळे होणारे त्रास यांचाही विचार ह्या स्थानावरून केला जातो. आता प्रत्यक्षात याचा उपयोग कसा होतो ते पाहू. 

हे आरोग्य स्थान असल्यामुळे आरोग्याच्या सर्वच तक्रारींसाठी आधी षष्ठस्थान विचारात घेतलं जातं. कुंडलीतील प्रत्येक स्थानाचा एका विशिष्ट अवयवावर अंमल असला तरी आरोग्याचा सर्वांगीण विचार ह्याच स्थानावरून होतो. आपल्या खाण्या पिण्याच्या सवयी, झोपण्याच्या वेळा आणि इतर काही कारणांमुळे अनेक रोग उद्भवतात. तसंच जन्मजात असलेले रोग, पिढीजात असलेले काही रोग, जनुकांच्या दोषामुळे उद्भवणारे रोग अशा सर्वच प्रकारच्या रोगांचा विचार ह्या स्थानावरून केला जातो. काही रोग पूर्णतः बरे होतात, काही निदान होऊनही आयुष्यभर बरे होत नाहीत (उदा: एड्स), तर काही रोग बरे होण्यासाठी बराच अवधी लागतो. ज्या रोगांमुळे किंवा अपघातांमुळे कातडीवर व्रण येतात याचाही अभ्यास या स्थानावरून केला जातो. या व्रणांमुळे कधी शरीर विद्रुप होऊ शकतं तर कधी हालचाली करताना अडचणी येतात. असे व्रण फार मोठ्या प्रमाणावर असतील तर त्यामुळे मानसिक त्रासही होतो. अशा प्रकारच्या शारीरिक अडचणींच्या उपचारांच्या वेळी ह्या स्थानाचा अभ्यास केल्यास नक्कीच मदत मिळू शकेल. तंत्र शास्त्रातील काही उपायांमुळे एखाद्याची मानसिक क्षमता वाढवता येऊ शकेल किंवा व्रण कमी होण्यास मदत मिळू शकेल. असे उपाय करताना संपूर्ण काळजी घेणं आवश्यक आहेच पण हे उपाय वैद्यकीय उपचारांना डावलून कधीच करू नयेत. कोणताही  तंत्र शास्त्रातील उपाय वैद्यकीय उपचारांच्या ऐवजी वापरता येणार नाही याची नोंद घ्यावी. वैद्यकीय उपचारांबरोबर हे उपाय केल्यास लवकर फायदा मिळू शकेल. एकूणच आरोग्य ह्या अत्यंत महत्त्वाच्या विषयाचा विचार करताना ह्या स्थानाचा अभ्यास केल्यास निरोगी आयुष्य जगण्यासाठी काही मदत नक्कीच मिळू शकेल. आपल्या खाण्यात विशेषतः  मधुमेह, रक्तदाब अशा रोगांसाठी  काही बदल करायचे असतील तर या स्थानाचा अभ्यास केल्यास फायदा होऊ शकेल.   

ह्या स्थानाचा अंमल कटीस्थानावर असतो. त्यामुळे त्यासंबंधी काही तक्रारी असतील तर ह्या स्थानाचा अभ्यास करून काही मार्ग नक्की काढता येऊ शकेल.   

हे स्थान आपल्या छुप्या शत्रूंची माहिती देऊ शकेल. काही व्यक्ती केवळ विद्वेषापोटी एखाद्या व्यक्तीला जेरीस आणतात. व्यवसाय, नोकरी असेल तर कंपनीतील अगदी घरातही काही अशा व्यक्तींबद्दल आपल्याला कल्पना येऊ शकेल ज्यांच्यामुळे आपल्याला त्रास होऊ शकतो. किंवा ज्या व्यक्ती आपल्या विरुद्ध काही काम करत असतील व आपल्याला त्याची कल्पना नसेल तर या स्थानावरून अशा व्यक्तींची माहिती मिळू शकेल. यामुळे कामात किंवा नातेसंबंधांत काही अडचणी येत असतील तर काही मार्ग काढता येईल.

The sixth house in the Janm kundli is also known as Arogyasthana i.e. health house. This house mainly describes the health of an individual. Precisely this house governs the  skin problems related to lesions or ulcers.  Along with this it also tells about some hidden enemies, their rise and fall . Now lets see how this can be practically applied.

This is the house of health so as the name suggests this house deals with health of an individual in general. Every house in horoscope governs a particular body organ but total health is studied by this house. Our eating habits, sleep timings and many other reasons cause health problems. Some diseases are inborn or hereditary or some are genetic disorders. All types of health issues can be studied by this house. Some ailments get completely cured by proper medical treatment but some are not curable even after proper diagnosis (viz: HIV / AIDS) and some illnesses take long time to get cured. Some illnesses or accidents which cause lesions or ulcers or permanent marks on the skin are governed by this house. The lesions sometimes make the body look ugly or cause difficulty in movements. If such major lesions are present on the body especially on visible areas like face, they may cause psychological disturbances or affect the confidence of the person. So during the treatment of such cases, the study of this house can be helpful. There are some remedies in Tantra shastra which can boost the the confidence or help to reduce the lesions. These kind of remedies must be used with caution and it should be remembered that they are not the alternative for medical treatments. Altogether health an important parameter is studied by this house, which can give a guideline to live a long life. For any changes to be made in eating habits like in case of diabetes or blood pressure then a proper study of this house can help a lot. 

This house also governs the lower abdominal part of human body. So any ailments of this portion need proper diagnose and treatment then along with proper medical care the guidance from this house can be extremely useful. 

This house also describes about the hidden enemies in life. There are some people who put us in some sticky situations out of jealousy and can get away with it without noticing. Thus at business place or work place or even at home if one is getting troubled by such people then that can be revealed by studying this house. Some people make tricky activities behind the back which can not be easily pointed out but affect the individual a lot. In such cases where work or relationships are affected. By studying this house such troublesome people and their activities can be unveiled.

जन्म कुंडलीतील पंचम स्थानाला संतती स्थान किंवा विद्या स्थान असेही म्हणतात. या स्थानावरून बुद्धिमत्ता, शिक्षण, संततीसौख्य, खेळ आणि कलेतील प्राविण्य अशा महत्त्वाच्या गोष्टींचा अभ्यास केला जातो. तसंच प्रेमविवाह (सप्तमस्थानाचा विचार आवश्यक), विवाहापूर्वीचे प्रेमसंबंध, सट्टा लॉटरी मधून मिळणारे पैसे (काही इतर स्थानांचा विचारही आवश्यक) अशा गोष्टींचा अभ्यासही करता येतो. आता याचा प्रत्यक्षात कसा उपयोग होतो ते पाहू. 

हे विद्येचं स्थान असल्याने कोणती व्यक्ती कोणत्या प्रकारचं शिक्षण घेऊ शकेल किंवा कोणत्या प्रकारचं शिक्षण घ्यावं यासाठी या स्थानाचा अभ्यास महत्त्वाचा ठरतो. शिक्षणावर आयुष्यातील अनेक गोष्टी अवलंबून असतात. त्यामुळे शिक्षण घेताना त्या व्यक्तीचा कल कुठे आहे हे पाहणं गरजेचं असतं. प्रत्येक व्यक्तीचा बुध्यांक काही सारखा नसतो त्यामुळे शिक्षण घेताना विद्यार्थ्याकडून किती अपेक्षा ठेवायच्या याबद्दल विचार करताना हे स्थान महत्त्वाचं ठरतं. उच्च शिक्षणाचा विचार ह्या स्थानावरून होत नाही पण मूळ शिक्षण घेताना पुढील विचार करूनच पावले उचलल्यास ते योग्य ठरेल. एखाद्या विद्यार्थ्याला खेळ किंवा कलेची आवड असेल तर लहानपणीच या क्षेत्राचं शिक्षण दिल्यास लवकर फायदा होऊ शकेल. विशेषतः खेळात प्राविण्य मिळवायचं असेल तर त्याची सुरुवात लहानपणापासूनच करावी लागते. पुढे फार थोडा अवधी असतो. विशेषतः मैदानी खेळातील कारकीर्द लवकर संपते. यासाठी याचा विचार आधीपासूनच करावा लागतो. म्हणूनच शिक्षण आणि त्याचबरोबर इतर काही प्रशिक्षण घ्यायचे असेल तर पंचम स्थानाचा विचार करावा. 

या स्थानावरून कलेची केवळ आवडच नव्हे तर त्यातून मिळणारा आनंद कसा असेल याचाही विचार केला जातो. कलेतून मिळणाऱ्या आर्थिक समाधानापेक्षा मानसिक समाधानाचा विचार यावरून होतो. म्हणूनच कलेतील यश याची व्याख्या करताना पैसा, प्रसिद्धी यापेक्षा समाधान आणि  उपभोगता येणारा आनंद याचा विचार ह्या स्थानावरून करावा. कोणत्याही क्षेत्रातून किंवा शिक्षणातून एखादी व्यक्ती किती समाधानी होऊ शकेल याचा अंदाज या स्थानावरून येतो. 

प्रेमसंबंधांचा विचार करता एखाद्या ओळखीच्या व्यक्तीबरोबर लग्न करणे आणि केवळ शारीरिक संबंध ठेवणे या दोन्ही गोष्टींचा अभ्यास या स्थानावरून केला जातो. प्रेम जमून लग्न व संसार करणे या सरळ पठडीतील काही गोष्टी यात समाविष्ट आहेतच. पण कधीकधी उद्भवणारे कठीण प्रसंग म्हणजे लग्नाआधीचे प्रेम संबंध व त्यातील गुंतागुंत, प्रेमभंग होऊन टोकाचे पाऊल उचलणे, जबरदस्तीने ठेवलेले संबंध (अगदी पळवून नेऊन झालेले अत्याचार) अशा अनेक गोष्टींचा उलगडा या स्थानावरून होतो. मगाशी लिहिल्याप्रमाणे कोणत्याही गोष्टीत मानसिक समाधान किती मिळेल याचा विचार या स्थानावरून होतो. त्यामुळे प्रेमसंबंध असताना त्यात मानसिक गुंतवणूक आहे की केवळ शारीरिक, याचा अभ्यास केल्यास होणारी फसवणूक टाळता येऊ शकेल. केवळ शारीरिक आकर्षण किंवा श्रीमंती पाहून केलेले प्रेमसंबंध तुटून अनेक व्यक्तींना त्याचा त्रास होतो. अशा वेळी या स्थानावरून मार्गदर्शन घेतल्यास काही निर्णय वेळीच घेता येऊ शकतील.

पंचम स्थानाचा अंमल हा उदर आणि कुशी या अवयवांवर असतो. त्यामुळे पोटाची दुखणी, स्त्रियांचे रोग, हे संतती स्थानही असल्याने गर्भधारणेत येणाऱ्या काही अडचणी अशा काही रोगांचा विचार या स्थानावरून केला जातो. सतत होणारे पोटाचे आजार किंवा योग्य निदान न होऊ शकणाऱ्या पोटाच्या विकारांसाठी या स्थानाचा अभ्यास करून मार्गदर्शन घेतल्यास निश्चितच फायदा होऊ शकेल.        

अशा प्रकारे पंचम स्थानावरून अनेक महत्त्वाच्या गोष्टींबद्दल मार्गदर्शन मिळू शकते. योग्य प्रकारे याचा उपयोग करून घेतल्यास अनेक अडचणींमधून मार्ग काढण्यास निश्चित मदत मिळेल.

As the names suggest this house mainly describes one's intellect, education, progeny and skill in sports and art. Along with this the house also tells about love marriages (7th house should be studied), relationships before marriage, money gained through gambles ( along with this few other houses should be studied) etc. Now lets see how it can be practically applied.

As the fifth house is house of education it's study is very important to know what kind of education is suitable or which education should be taken even at early stages of life. Many things in life depend on education. So it is important to understand the IQ as well as interest of the student in studies. Every person is not a brilliant student, so the study of this house also guides for the expectation from the student. Though this house doesn't explain much about higher studies, but taking proper early education can help in later stages of life. Any student who is more capable in sports or art rather than standard pattern of education, then training the student for these fields in the beginning can help in future. Precisely speaking for career in sports one must start the training at an early age. After puberty not much time is left for training in sports. Career in physical sports mostly ends in 30s or 40s. So one must think about this kind of career at childhood only. So if one is interested in education and a professional career along with it then a guidance from fifth house will be helpful. 

This house not only describes the liking or skill in art but also tells about the mental satisfaction gained by performing an art. Rather than monetary gains this house tells about satisfaction through art. So when one defines 'success' in art it should be on the basis of mental satisfaction and pleasure but not money and fame. This house tells that how much pleasure and satisfaction is gained through any kind of education or art or even relationship.  

While predicting about courtship, a marriage with a loved one or just a physical relationship both can be studied by this house. चतुर्थ स्थान (मातृस्थान) The fourth house (House of native's Mother)

जन्म कुंडलीतील चतुर्थ स्थानाला मातृस्थान असंही म्हणतात. या स्थानावरून मातृसौख्य, वाहन सौख्य, जमीन किंवा स्थावर जंगम मालमत्ता, गृहसौख्य (स्वतःचे घर होईल की नाही), प्राथमिक शिक्षण, शिक्षणाची मुख्य शाखा वगळून छोट्या प्रमाणावर घेतलेलं शिक्षण, लहान कोर्सेस अशा गोष्टींचा अभ्यास केला जातो. आता याचा प्रत्यक्षात कसा उपयोग होतो ते पाहू. 

मातृसौख्य म्हणजे प्रामुख्याने मातेच्या आयुष्यामुळे जातकाच्या आयुष्यावर होणारे परिणाम, मातेचं सुख किती मिळेल म्हणजेच अप्रत्यक्षपणे मातेचं आयुष्य किती असेल, मातेकडून होणारे मानसिक व आर्थिक सहाय्य इत्यादी गोष्टींचा विचार या स्थानावरून होतो. अनेक घरांमध्ये मुलांचं आईशी पटत नाही. विशेषतः लग्नानंतर काही वैचारिक मतभेद होतात. दोन पिढ्यांमधील असणारा हा फरक बऱ्याचदा टोकाला जातो. कधीकधी आईचं आयुष्य कमी असल्याने मुलांना लहानपणीच मातृसुखाला मुकावं लागतं किंवा सावत्र आई असते. यात दर वेळी मतभेदच असतात असं नाही. पण जेव्हा काही आर्थिक व्यवहार असतात किंवा मातेकडील संपत्ती मिळणार असते तेव्हा या स्थानाचा अभ्यास महत्त्वाचा ठरतो. आताच्या काळात अनेक स्त्रिया नोकरी वा व्यवसाय करतात. अशा वेळी आई आणि मुलांमध्ये सुसंवाद नसला तर अनेक गैरसमज होऊ शकतात. तसेच मातेला असणारे आजार कशा प्रकारचे असतील याचाही विचार ह्या स्थानावरून होतो. अनेक मुलांना आईचं सौख्य न मिळाल्यानं मोठेपणी स्वभावात काही बदल झालेले आढळून येतात. लहानपणीच मातृसौख्य हरपल्यास अनेक वेगवेगळ्या प्रकारचे मानसिक क्वचित शारीरिक त्रासही सहन करावे लागतात. अशा प्रकारच्या अडचणींना अनेक पैलू आहेत. या सगळ्याचा परामर्श इथे घेणं शक्य नाही. पण इथे नंमूद केल्याप्रमाणे काही अडचणी असतील तर चतुर्थ स्थानाचा अभ्यास केल्यास काही मार्ग काढणं शक्य होऊ शकेल. 

या स्थानावरून गृहसौख्य आणि वाहनसौख्य यांचाही विचार केला जातो. स्वतःचे घर होईल का? किंवा ते कधी होईल आणि कशा प्रकारचे असावे यासाठी या स्थानावरून मार्गदर्शन घेता येईल. केवळ घरच नाही तर जमीन, बागायती, शेती, गुंतवणूक म्हणून घेतलेली जमीन इत्यादींचा विचारही या स्थानावरून होतो. या संबंधित असणारे प्रश्न म्हणजे जमिनीत गुंतवणूक केल्यास फायदेशीर ठरेल का? घर किंवा जमीन कोणाच्या नावावर घेतल्यास जास्त फायदेशीर ठरेल? अशा अनेक बाबतीत या स्थानाचा विचार केल्यास संभवव्य धोके टाळता येतील. आर्थिक गुंतवणूक करूनही ताबा मिळत नसलेली घरे, बिल्डरशी असलेले वाद, जमिनी बळकावण्याचे प्रकार इतकंच नाही तर घर मुलांच्या नावावर केल्यावर वृद्धांची होणारी फरफट, भावंडांमधील घर/जमिनीसंबंधित वाद अशा अनेक गोष्टींचा विचार या स्थानावरून करता येतो. वाहनसौख्याचा विचार करता स्वतःचे वाहन कधी घेता येईल? कोणत्या प्रकारचे वाहन लाभेल? किंवा वाहन घेऊन त्यासंबंधित व्यवसाय करता येईल का? अशा प्रश्नांचा विचार या स्थानावरून करता येतो. कधीकधी काही व्यक्तींना वाहनांमुळे अपघात, वाहन चोरीला जाणे असे त्रास उद्भवतात. अशा वेळी या स्थानाचा विचार केल्यास काही मार्गदर्शन नक्की मिळू शकेल. 

चतुर्थ स्थानाचा अंमल हा हृदयावर असतो. त्यामुळे हृदय रोग आणि त्यातील गुंतागुंतीचे काही आजार ह्यावरूनही त्या व्यक्तीचे आरोग्य चांगले राहावे यासाठी मार्गदर्शन घेता येते. हृदयासंबंधी काही मोठी शस्त्रक्रिया असेल तर या स्थानावरून अशी शस्त्रक्रिया कधी करावी किंवा ती यशस्वी होईल का? अशा प्रकारचा शंकांचे निरसन होऊ शकेल. अर्थात यात वैद्यकीय चाचण्या आणि वैद्यकीय तज्ज्ञांचं मत हे सर्वात महत्त्वाचं असतं. 

अनेक विद्यार्थी शिक्षणाच्या मोठ्या शाखांमधील शिक्षण घेण्यापेक्षा किंवा घेतल्यानंतरही काही छोट्या प्रमाणावरील शिक्षण घेतात. याचा विचार या स्थानावरून करता येतो. उदा: शिवणकाम, टायपिंग, वीज उपकरण दुरुस्ती, कॉम्प्युटर मधील लहान कोर्सेस इत्यादी. काही व्यक्ती अशा प्रकारचे शिक्षण मोठेपणीही घेतात. यासाठी मार्गदर्शन हवे असल्यास या स्थानाचा विचार महत्त्वाचा ठरतो. कोणत्या प्रकारचे लहान कोर्सेस करावेत? त्यामुळे आयुष्यात कोणता फायदा होईल? या शिक्षणाचा अर्थार्जन किंवा बढती यासाठी उपयोग होईल का? कोणत्या काळात हे शिक्षण घ्यावे? अशा अनेक प्रश्नांची उत्तरे या स्थानाचा विचार केल्यास मिळू शकतील. 

अशा प्रकारे चतुर्थ स्थान अनेक बाबतीत मार्गदर्शक ठरू शकते. या स्थानासंबंधित गोष्टींचा अभ्यास केल्यास आयुष्यातील काही महत्त्वाच्या टप्प्यांवर याचा नक्कीच उपयोग होऊ शकेल.

This house describes the native's relationship with mother, pleasure of vehicles, land, house (native will own a house or not), small educational courses (other than main branch of education) etc. Now lets see how it can be used practically.

This house describes native's mother i. e. the contentment in the relation of the native and native's mother in every aspect. It mainly includes the effect of mother on native's life, mother's lifespan and emotional/financial help from mother. In many families there are clashes between mother and children. Especially after childrens' marriage these disputes become more prominent. The generation gap reaches to its peak. Sometimes due to untimely death of the mother the children do not get the motherly love which is much needed at small age or they have a stepmother with whom the relationship may not be sound. It is not every time about a estranged relationship but when it comes to financial deals with mother or distribution of maternal property, the study of this house is very important. In today's world many women are working. If the working women can not give enough time to the children it may create some misunderstandings which can be studied by the study of this house. This house can also shed some light on the health issues of native's mother. Many children devoid of mother's love in childhood can develop psychological issues in their adulthood. तृतीयस्थान (पराक्रम स्थान) The third house (House of Communication)

जन्म कुंडलीतील तृतीय स्थानाला सहजस्थान किंवा पराक्रमस्थान असंही म्हणतात. या स्थानावरून त्या व्यक्तीचं मानसिक धैर्य, शौर्य, सहोदर सौख्य (लहान भावंड), छोटे प्रवास अशा गोष्टींचा अभ्यास करता येतो. मुख्यतः शौर्य व पराक्रमाशी या स्थानाचा संबंध असल्याने सैन्यात असणाऱ्या व्यक्ती, पोलीस, गुप्तहेर अशा व्यक्तींच्या कामाबद्दलचा अभ्यास या स्थानावरून करता येईल. आता याचा प्रत्यक्षात कसा उपयोग होईल ते पाहू.

या स्थानावरून जवळचे प्रवास उदा: पत्र व्यवहार, जवळच्या ठिकाणी केलेले प्रवास, सहली, स्थानिक बस वा ट्रेन ने केलेले प्रवास इत्यादींचा अभ्यास करता येतो. याचा सखोल विचार करता केवळ प्रवास नव्हे तर प्रवासात येऊ शकणाऱ्या अडचणी, घडणारे अपघात, प्रवासात काही वस्तू हरवल्यास त्याचा शोध घेणं, पत्र व्यवहाराचे उत्तर अपेक्षित असल्यास त्यासंबंधीच्या कामांचे अंदाज अशा अनेक गोष्टींचा अभ्यास या स्थानावरून करता येईल. मात्र दूरचे प्रवास, परदेशातील प्रवास याचा अभ्यास या स्थानावरून करता येत नाही. 

अशा प्रकारे तृतीय स्थानावरून समजू शकणाऱ्या गोष्टींचा विचार करून आयुष्यातील काही निर्णय घेताना नक्कीच मार्गदर्शन मिळू शकेल. तसेच भावंडांमधील वाद विवाद कमी करता आल्यास अनेक कुटुंबांना मानसिक सौख्य लाभण्यास मदत होईल.

The stability of married life depends on the couple's views, nature, capacity etc. So if this science is used as a guideline it can be definitely helpful. 

In medical science, Astrology can be used just as Psychology to understand  one's mental status. If a patient is mentally disturbed, then the patient's history can be studied using the first house in Janm kundli. This can help to find the reasons behind the disturbance. Some physical ailments can also be known by the study of the Ascendant. This can help in diagnosis as well as treatment. Ascendant is said to govern the head of human body. As it governs the part where the most vital organ the brain is located, a person's nature, behaviour and mental status can be studied. This can help in improving treatments of brain diseases or psychological disorders. People with dormant or undiagnosable disease or disorder can also get help from such study to come to any conclusion.  

  

From Janm kundli if one understands his / her own nature as well as the nature of the loved ones it can help to remove many obstacles in life. Many incidences are actually a reflection of the reactions given due to one's nature. So understanding basic nature and personality can help to avoid some unnecessary problems in the relationships.

जन्मकुंडली मधील बारा स्थानं (Twelve houses in Janm Kundli)

ज्योतिष शास्त्रामध्ये खगोल शास्त्राची अत्यंत महत्त्वाची भूमिका आहे. आपल्या पृथ्वीभोवती असणारे महत्त्वाचे ग्रह, सूर्य तसेच अवकाशातील धूमकेतू सारख्या अनेक खगोलीय गोष्टींचा मनुष्यावर कसा प्रभाव होतो हे या शास्त्रामुळे समजून घेता येतं. या शास्त्राला सिद्धांत (गणित), संहिता (खगोलीय घटना), होरा, अशा प्रमुख शाखा आहेत. त्यातील होरा शास्त्र म्हणजेच एखाद्या व्यक्तीच्या जन्मवेळी असलेल्या ग्रहस्थितीवरून त्या व्यक्तीच्या आयुष्यात घडू शकणाऱ्या घटनांचा अभ्यास करणं. ही शाखा मनुष्याच्या आयुष्याशी निगडित असल्याने जास्त प्रमाणावर ह्या शाखेचा अभ्यास केला जातो. पण इतर शाखांच्या अभ्यासाशिवाय या शाखेचा अभ्यास करणं शक्य नाही. कारण गणित व खगोलीय घटना यांचा अभ्यास केल्याशिवाय कोणतंही भाकीत मांडणं अशक्य आहे.  

वैदिक ज्योतिषात होरा शास्त्र अनेक शाखांमध्ये विभागलं गेलं आहे. यातील जातक शास्त्र म्हणजेच जन्मकुंडलीवरून भाकीत करण्याचं शास्त्र सध्या जास्त अभ्यासलं जातं. पण होरा शास्त्राच्या इतर शाखांमध्ये ताजिक (वर्षफल), मुहूर्त, स्वर शास्त्र, अंकज्योतिष, नाडी ज्योतिष, स्वप्न शास्त्र, शकुन शास्त्र, प्रश्न कुंडली अशी अनेक शास्त्रं आहेत. 

मनुष्याची जन्मकुंडली बनवताना जन्मवेळचे ग्रह कुंडलीत मांडले जातात. कुंडली ही बारा भागांत विभागली जाते. त्या प्रत्येक भागाला भाव/स्थान किंवा घर असं म्हटलं जातं. प्रत्येक स्थानावरून काही विशिष्ट गोष्टींची माहिती मिळते. या बारा स्थानांची माहिती मी पुढील लेखांत सविस्तर देणार आहे. एखाद्या व्यक्तीची कुंडली मांडताना केवळ एकाच पद्धतीने न मांडता (पाराशर शास्त्रानुसार) सोळा पद्धतींनी मांडली जाते. त्यांना वर्ग कुंडली असं म्हटलं जातं. षोडश वर्ग म्हणजेच सोळा वर्ग कुंडल्या वेगवेगळ्या भाकितासाठी बनवल्या जातात. हे सोळा वर्ग म्हणजे लग्न, होरा, द्रेष्काण, चतुर्थांश, सप्तमांश, नवमांश, दशांश, द्वादशांश, षोडशांश, विशांश, चतुर्विशांश, सप्तविशांश, त्रिशांश,षष्टांश, खवेदांश आणि अष्टवेदांश. षोडशवर्ग कुंडल्यांचे चार उपवर्ग आहेत जे वेगवेगळ्या भाकितासाठी वापरले जावेत असे पाराशर शास्त्रात नमूद केले आहे. त्यातील लग्न, होरा, द्रेष्काण, नवमांश, द्वादशांश आणि त्रिशांश या सहा म्हणजे षड्वर्ग कुंडल्या जास्त प्रचलित आहेत. बाकी तीन उपवर्ग म्हंणजेच सप्तवर्ग, दशवर्ग आणि षोडशवर्ग सध्याच्या काळात जास्त प्रचलित नाहीत. 

जन्मकुंडली वरून नक्की कशा प्रकारची माहिती मिळू शकते याचा अंदाज अनेकदा प्रश्नकर्त्याला नसतो. त्यामुळे केवळ आपल्या अडचणींशी निगडित प्रश्न ज्योतिषाला विचारले जातात. कुंडलीतील प्रत्येक स्थान आणि त्याचं महत्त्व समजून घेतलं तर अनेक बाजुंनी प्रश्न विचारता येऊ शकतील जेणेकरून आयुष्यात येणाऱ्या अडचणींचा सामना करता येईल. केवळ अडचण असतानाच जन्मकुंडली पाहावी असंही नाही. एक मार्गदर्शक म्हणूनही या शास्त्राचा वापर करता येईल.     

जन्मकुंडलीतील बारा स्थानं आणि त्यावरून विचारता येऊ शकणारे प्रश्न याचा आढावा पुढील काही लेखांत मी देण्याचा प्रयत्न करणार आहे.

Astronomy plays a very important role in Astrology. Important planets surrounding the Earth, Sun and other celestial bodies affect human life in different ways. This effect can be studied by Astrology. Astrology is mainly divided in Siddhant  (mathematics), Samhita (celestial events) and  Hora. Hora shastra is a branch of Vedic Astrology which deals with the position of planets at the time of birth of a person (horoscope) and their effect on that person's life. As this branch deals with the human life it is more popularly studied. Though it should not be forgotten that without the other two branches it is not possible to predict any thing from a horoscope. Without mathematics and study of celestial events it is merely impossible to study the effects of planets on any person's life. 

In Vedic Astrology Hora shastra is divided in different branches. In these Jataka Shastra (Natal Astrology) i.e. prediction from Janm kundli is a popular branch. Some of the other branches include Tajik, Muhurta, Swar shastra, Ank jyotish, Nadi jyotish, Swapna shastra, Shakuna shastra, Prashna kundli and many others.

In Janm kundli the positions of planets at the time of birth are written by using specific method. The Janm kundli is divided in twelve parts. Each part is known as Bhav/sthan or ghar (house). Every house is attributed to a specific part of the person's life. I will explain these twelve houses in detail later on in my articles. The Janm kundli is not written in a single fashion, but in sixteen different ways (Parashara Shastra- composed by great sage Parashar). These are known as Varg kundlis. Shodasha varg i.e. sixteen varg kundlis are calculated for different purposes. These sixteen vargas are Lagna, Hora, Dreshkan, Chaturthansh, Saptamansh, Navamansh, Dashansh, Dvadashansh, Shodashansh, Vishansh, Chaturvishansh, Saptavishansh, Trishansh, Shashtansh, Khavedansh and Ashtvedansh. These sixteen varg kundlis are divided in four subgroups known as upavarg which are used for specific purposes. Out of these six varg kundlis i.e Shadvarg are more popular in today's Astrology. These are Lagna, Hora, Dreshkan, Navamansh, Dvadashansh and Trishansh. The remaining three subgroups i.e. Saptavarg (seven kundlis), Dashvarg (ten kundlis) and Shodashavarg (sixteen kundlis) are not practiced in today's Astrology.         

Well many times the querent is unaware of the depth of astrology. So mostly the querents ask the questions related to their problems. If they come to know about the meaning of the twelve houses and their importance, then they can ask questions from different angles. It will not only help during difficult times but astrology can be used as a general guidance in life. 

In my next articles I will try and explain the importance of the twelve houses in Janm kundli and how the information can be used to get different predictions from Janm kundli.
